Lilly : Old books tell us more than a written story, they have secrets within them . . secrets only a former reader will know. Ronnie : I don't like to be without a book to read . .even if it lays there, as yet, unread, I have comfort in knowing it awaits me.

Fine pairing. I find the format of your blog quite touching.

I think what the 2 of you are doing is just so interesting and different. It's wonderful and certainly makes us want to see more.

o how true but though saving books for reading later is a great idea - alas one accumulates a vast library - age intervenes and eyesight dims so these books take up only space which is no longer a luxury and how to find them new homes becomes a huge problem.

Unfortunately I'm afraid that puts you among a small minority among our largely illiterate population. I have a book with me everywhere, for whenever I'm forced to wait somewhere, and people act like I'm nuts. I've even had people ask why I read "stuff like that."

I love these 2 images together... Love the colors... Love books! I too, always have a book to read sometimes 4 at a time! One in the car, one in the bathroom, one by my bed, on in my purse... :)

Another one of my favourites in this series. Beautiful images with rich tones, and equally interesting writing to accompany them.
