Lilly : Silly shoes for walking this rubble . . oh, look at the shattered dreams all around me . . I see a dime, a toothless comb, a torn playing card . . . ouch!. .
Ronnie : Not sure they’ll let me in the FAS wearing these shoes . . always so hushed in there and the left heel squeaks slightly . . eeek! . . there it goes again.

I like this paradoxical view... between mess and order, rotten and clean... an idea of what the world is... sometimes... often...

haha.. cute!

Love the colors!

I like the perspective and detail. And your spoken lines are really funny. Excellent images.

I am so impressed that you two are able to keep this up in such creative ways. Here again the contrasts in fact bring the image together. Really well done.

Great juxtaposition!

I am loving this series Ronnie. They always look as though they are just one picture and that in itself is really great art, but the contrasts are wonderful. Great work.

Nice shot :) Interesting Title :)

very beautiful diptych and great text for it - I like it a lot

This is another great juxtaposition.

At first glance, I thought this was a single picture, n wondered what happened..U guys have paired them up so perfectly! Good job!

Interesting montage. In my first glance I thought it was only 1 picture as the separation isn't clear. Very creative. My suggestion would be to flip vertically the left picture, doing this the shoes should be in a lower position than the right shoes (the left black shoe is showing the low part of the picture and the eyes are going naturally there).

@akarui: (from Ronnie 2¢) Thank you very much for your kind Comment and excellent suggestion, Akarui. Lilly and I spent quite a while on this one trying different visual combinations but missed this (now!) obvious variation. I agree it forms a far better composition and have re-posted the image here. Thank you again.
A fresh new p/blog on the scene and what a superb idea and layout ,pals..nice work.. Billy...

you are a poet in your own right!I like your style!:)

Very interesting. You are taking photography in a new direction.

Very clever blending with this one, your technique is becoming more refined. Love the juxtaposition and I'm glad you did the v-flip because it does create a stronger compostion.
This is my favourite candidate for photoblog of the year - its just such a fresh approach!

@drphoto: (from Ronnie 2¢) . . thanx, Dan. I might want to quote you on that ‘photoblog of the year’ idea !
Amazing series....fun, clever, entertaining...lovely!

A very nice contrast in photos. I so know what you mean about shoe "noise." If I don't wear the shoes that sound like tap dancing shoes, then I end up wearing shoes that end up sounding too squeaky. :-)

Nice shot! :)
17 Mar 2008 1:25pm
I love this combination, it's like your both are in the same place.
17 Mar 2008 6:43pm
neat shot. almost like you're facing each other. what is the FAS/Fine art society, and why on earth would they kick you out for having squeaky shoes?
18 Mar 2008 8:22pm
@danthro: (from Ronnie 2¢) Fine Art Society is an art dealer which opened in London in 1876. It really is so quiet in there other than the scratch of pen nibs writing the odd $500,000 check!
YES! It's Fine Art!

I am enjoying your storytelling and photos, nice contrast of moments in this one!
