yiannis krikis from thessaloniki, Greecenice image and story - I like the colors and the way you captured it 26 Mar 2008 5:01pm Ina from Krugersdorp, South AfricaSimply awesome... very creative and excellent composition! 26 Mar 2008 7:25pm niña kristine from New York, United Statesgreat! if i hadn't known you were into pairings, i would have thought that this was just a single shot! nice work! 26 Mar 2008 8:53pm danthro from Suburbia, United Statesyou've gotten really good at this blending. i like how (i think) you had the "cut above" sign overlap with the other photo. it's like you're both on the same street. :) also, i like the tones, colors, and vignette. 26 Mar 2008 8:58pm Ron from Saint Louis, United StatesAnother excellent pairing of complementary forms; love the way your grid pairs dark and light/light and dark. I always thought the name Stella was a bit bourgeoise; ELLA has much more panache. Excellent story...you made me smile! Thanks. 26 Mar 2008 9:08pm Andrew Gould from Sydney, AustraliaSo cleverly done! I also wouldn't have guessed that this was two shots joined together if I'd seen it in another context. Excellent work and very entertaining! 26 Mar 2008 10:09pm Melissa from Warsaw, Indiana, United StatesAnother impressive image...you guys make it look so easy. I also like how the "cut above" sign overlaps, but it's the sidewalk and pavement continuity that I'm most impressed with. Fantastic image. 27 Mar 2008 12:27am Stinkbug Photography from Cochise County, United StatesOr is this really a single shot on one of your get togethers? 27 Mar 2008 12:55am @Stinkbug Photography: (from Ronnie 2¢) Not a single shot, no. 4,000 miles between those two and, in a strange way, I was a little disappointed it looked so ‘real’. The Bentley is real but, sadly, I don’t own it ! drphoto from Newcastle upon Tyne, United KingdomI wouldn't have spotted that this was a pairing if I didn't know you two better. You're too good at this now! Dan 27 Mar 2008 1:31am tyan from Singapore, SingaporeGosh!I thought it was a single shot until i read some of the comments here, wow! It look so seamless man! 27 Mar 2008 1:41am Suzanne Labbé from Granby, CanadaNice story - very nicely done :o) You are so creative ! 27 Mar 2008 2:03am Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaYou are hobnobbing with the rich and famous. ;D This is another excellent shot. Truly I could not tell where one picture ends and the other begins. I am really loving this series. 27 Mar 2008 4:01am Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaIntriguing! and very well done! As usual I like the dialoque. 27 Mar 2008 6:03am Nishana Minhaz from Calicut, IndiaAm i supposed to believe that these are two different shots?! U guys are too good at it! The pic looks soo seamless! 27 Mar 2008 10:45am Carson from Portland, United StatesFunny! I like your pairing of words with image. 27 Mar 2008 11:25am e. from New York, NY, United StatesWhoa neat! It looks like they're in the same place. Great job on that! 27 Mar 2008 11:29am Disoriented from Washington, DC, United StatesWhoa! This is not a single shot?!? For a moment I thought the narrative might have taken a unique turn to which L/R coincidentally bumped into each other. One word for you, "Wow!" 27 Mar 2008 8:23pm Tracey from Baltimore, United StatesSweet put together! I love the title and the description. Great composition with only the front end of the car showing. 27 Mar 2008 10:03pm bronzebilly u.k. from Barry,Vale of Glamorgan, United KingdomWaaah,pals...I've spent two hours staring at this baby and I still can't find the stich..!!!! wonderful work...or are you having a giraffe my beauts.?????.. 28 Mar 2008 1:19am @bronzebilly u.k.: (from Lilly & Ronnie 2¢) First, a big THANK YOU to all for the kind comments on this one. And, for Billy and others who harbor doubts, we do assure you this is composed from two totally separate images. When we planned O2S, we were not intending to ‘merge’ the pairs but place images side-by-side . . the blending just developed for some postings and adds a bit to the fun. e nelsonian from Pasadena, United Stateshard to tell if this is a photo or a painting, i really like it, great capture 28 Mar 2008 2:04am GJC from Kyoto, JapanVery well done, as others have already said. What I especially like is that this (and all the others) is all so plausible. You help us see in pairs what we would look at seperately, and show us how to think about seeing in a new way. 28 Mar 2008 3:47am @GJC: (from Lilly) Thanks, GJC. That just about sums up the way we see this developing and it seems to have a life all of its own! rainsocks from Singapore, Singaporehaha.. yes it's so true how we always see things differently. 28 Mar 2008 7:57am Pied Crow from Nairobi, KenyaOne of my favorites from this series, I like to think of the Bentley moving up a couple of spaces and finding itself in front of A Cut Above, a somewhat more downmarket location... 29 Mar 2008 6:37am Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesYou mean this whole place isn't a cut above Stella McCartney? 29 Mar 2008 3:34pm Jarrard from Athens, GA, United StatesWould not have been able to find a seam of I did not know better... Brilliant. 31 Mar 2008 3:11am Nan from Quezon City, PhilippinesYou're quite sly with your photos; I'm lovin it :) 2 Apr 2008 1:43pm dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, United Stateslove the comedy in your work... its photography with sass! 2 Jun 2008 4:34pm |
