“Neither of us can remember why we decided to ‘blend’ images but this one was our first serious on-location try. Because of that, it’s kinda special to us..” A record of timeslots shared : all images and storylines © www.ourtwosense.com ("O2S") 2008, 2009

Nishana Minhaz from Calicut, IndiaWo, this is waaaaay too good! I looked around for the L+R to make sure these are two images and though I found it, I still can't believe my eyes! Awesome work! How do you do this?? :o 3 May 2008 3:58pm @Nishana Minhaz: : (From Lilly) I'm going to have to say I'm pretty amazed at this, myself. But then all of you know that Ronnie is the one behind the masterful image blending. I just come up with an occasional idea and take the photos when he tells me. :) I asked him if I could comment on our own image! It's really amazing. Observing from Chester, United KingdomGreat shot Ronnie, the colors are really natural looking. Where about is it taken...? 3 May 2008 5:12pm @Observing: : Tim Sutherland from Brooklyn, United StatesGreat blending. The homeowners have a much better view now than before. 3 May 2008 5:31pm @Tim Sutherland: : Margie from Auckland, New ZealandLove it. The first thing I thought when I checked my blogwatch was "Yay, they're back!" And I totally agree with Nishana - this is amazing. Well done guys! 3 May 2008 5:48pm Chris from South Jersey, United StatesAmazing post processing work, and thanks for the link to the original images - that helps a lot to appreciate even more the work you have done. 3 May 2008 5:49pm Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaRonnie, you are a master at blending. This is by far a prettier pathway then the original. Excellent work. 3 May 2008 5:49pm Graça B. from Lisboa, PortugalI am in the middle. Completely unable to decide. Very impressive. 4 May 2008 9:05am @Gary: : Ina from Krugersdorp, South AfricaAbsolutely amazing work! When are these available in book form? 4 May 2008 12:22pm Elspeth from St. Augustine, Trinidad and TobagoThis site is amazing and original. I have been looking at some of the images and I read the 'about' section, so I know who you are (L + R). What I would like to know: do you come up with an idea beforehand and who comes up with it? L or R or either? Is it a spontaneous decision? Do you one day just decide to shoot two streets and then put them together? 4 May 2008 12:38pm @Elspeth: : yiannis krikis from thessaloniki, Greecea very well composed diptych - excellent work 4 May 2008 2:32pm e. from New York, NY, United StatesWow, you did an incredible job with putting these two together! 4 May 2008 4:51pm drphoto from Newcastle upon Tyne, United KingdomGreat picture and looking at the original pictures has only deepened my respect for your skill. Excellent image work, the two images are well chosen for this technique, and the result has been expertly created. 4 May 2008 10:08pm bronzebilly u.k. from Barry,Vale of Glamorgan, United KingdomO.K. pals I'm back...and I can only sit and stare at this superb creation..it's so impressive that I'm awarding you the Billy Oscar(I only wish I had two,so you'll have to share, sorry pals) for ingenuity..great work,pals.. 5 May 2008 12:14am @bronzebilly u.k.: (from Lilly) Oh, we don't mind sharing. :) CRFoto from Salt Lake City, United StatesGreat job. Once again you have done a wonderful job of showing us two worlds very far apart and yet still so the same. 5 May 2008 3:14am Rags from Plano, United Stateswow! I wouldn't have guessed that it was a composite. I love your creativity. 5 May 2008 5:52am sithenah from Greater Manchester/Cheshire, United Kingdomgreat to see the two pre-blended shots - I'm quite amazed, especially with this one as the join really creates a new reality 5 May 2008 7:27am Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaWell done. An extremely pleasing image you have created! 5 May 2008 11:44am Fred from Easton PA, United StatesI must admit the results of the blend look so natural that if it wasn't pointed out one would thing this to be a single photo. And a very well composed on at that ! 5 May 2008 4:27pm niña.kristine from New York, United Stateswow. i am amazed! great work L & R! one of my faves! :) 5 May 2008 5:23pm Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesA very good blend it is. My first glance had me disoriented and thinking it was a real place. I was even ready to comment about how the architecture is a blend of American and British styles, with the American style prevailing --slightly. Then I realized where I was. 5 May 2008 8:32pm @Twelvebit: : GJC from Kyoto, JapanEveryone has already commented on the blending, so I'll leave that aside as well-trod ground. But I think we shouldn't ignore the concept itself of creating a joint space from two different places. Of course the technical skills are outstanding, but this blog would only be a display of technical skills if there wasn't also in the images an intriguing and careful thinking through of relationships (both personal and of space). So I want to compliment you both not just on PS skills, but on continuing to develop an idea about how to think of spaces and people conjoining and converging that I think is really fresh and very exciting to see. Thanks again for sharing. 5 May 2008 10:33pm @GJC: : O2S is something of an experiment and some of the ideas will succeed and some might fail but we are appreciative that so many of you fellow-photographers have come along for the twisting ride! gene from patterson, United Statesa wonderful image...photography has so many possibilities... 6 May 2008 12:15am Sarah [ cupcake] from Statesville, United StatesVery amazing editing! You are very talented! 6 May 2008 3:28am Doug from Long Beach, United StatesThat sound is my jaw dropping to the floor. We are not worthy. 6 May 2008 6:54am Rabbit from Richmond, United StatesBlended as beautifully as notes sung by a talented opera singer. Even love the last little detail of your L&R look as if it was written in chalk on the joined walkways. 6 May 2008 10:30am Anita from West Nottingham, United StatesFabulouso! The way the 2 photos were blended is excellent, and I love the result. 6 May 2008 11:08am Steven from Chicagoland, United StatesThis is a great composition and merging of the two locales. It is seamless between the two. I like this new "scenery" better than the original. :-) 6 May 2008 2:27pm @Steven: : Jose Antonio from Barcelona, SpainImpresionante todo tu trabajo. Excellent work 8 May 2008 12:12am Andrew Gould from Sydney, AustraliaYes... you needed to point out to new viewers that this is a composite image. This is the most brilliant example of such that I've ever seen! 10 May 2008 9:33pm @Andrew Gould: : Sandrine from Cincinnati, United StatesAmazing! i love that we can see the original shot! So well done! 11 May 2008 3:07am Lorna from Regina, CanadaWow. Going through your portfolio since I've only just found you guys. I think this is my favourite. Perfect blending. 19 Sep 2008 4:00pm |
