I don't know why but imagine the railroad in the middle, your benches at the right and lilly's at the left , back to back , with a pale boundry between the two . I've got used to see this one !
Caused a good deal of musing on my part... I think that's the point isn't it?

So similar -- and yet different. A great image from your "parallel universes". What I'm curious about, though, is what the view would be like from each of these locations. Is there anything to be made out of that for us to see?

cool shots. i think i actually like the benches in R's shot better, they have some character, not so much like those new generic looking ones they're using everywhere now.
I like the old vs. new aspect of this pairing. Does it mean anything that the new benches have turned their backs on that great 19th century mode of transportation, the train?
