Somewhere on a forgotten island a huge snowy mountain made of lost socks exists....
11 Apr 2009 12:39pm

this time i could have told without the letters which is l and r :)
11 Apr 2009 12:46pm
ha!!! I guess you try to keep the economy going Ronnie by just buying new clothes when the old ones get dirty!!!!
11 Apr 2009 1:13pm
Maybe the other sock is with the hundreds of our kids socks lost forever, perhaps being worn by one legged monsters.......
11 Apr 2009 2:12pm
@Daryl: : (from Ronnie) You saved me big expense there, Daryl . . they always make me buy the pair.
Perhaps you could shop for some new socks more compatible with Lilly's laundry. Don't forget buy some extra batteries. best...jerry

Bulldog clip from the old darkroom Ronnie...?
11 Apr 2009 10:42pm
@observing: ha ha . . no, but it could/should have been . . not sure I could find any of those, now, though!
Ha-Ha!!! I don`t know if this is what you had in mind, but it is so true. Every time I do the laundry there would be at least one sock that wouldn`t have a pair. Why?? I don`t know, but it always happens ;)

@Nataly: : (from Ronnie) I bet, if we pooled all the odd socks in the world, there'd still be one left over !!
I like to creatively "match" my socks. Which means that the colors on my socks match, but the style, pattern and design are totally different. I've done this for years... My co-workers get a kick out of it. Anyway, amazingly enough even with my mis-match style - I too also end up with ODD socks that really have no partners.

Creative banter is always fun; the photo is great lagniappe.

This just made me giggle...is that not long weekends are for??? I have a feeling I will be doing the same thing tomorrow morning. As for the "lone sock"...chances are there will be another just like it come next laundry day, unless of course the washing machine or dryer ate it.
Excellent shot...love the colours, composition and the fact that we can all relate to this :)

12 Apr 2009 11:09am
No idea how you keep coming up with these things! Always so funny, but more than that... Always a great image and techniccally brilliant!
12 Apr 2009 1:34pm
:) great work again, I am sure myself there is a conspiracy by sock manufactures to make one sock of each pair spontaneously to disappear in the laundry so we buy more, my response ti o this plot of there many years ago, is to never worry about matching socks, there lal in a pile in the draw and whivchever two i grab are a pair as far as I am concerned
12 Apr 2009 6:13pm
Yes the sock fairy strikes again. Unlike the tooth fairy it takes away without giving back. Very nice concept and composition.
12 Apr 2009 8:23pm
I LOVE the humor in this one--it is an excellent example of your wonderful sense of fun!! I'm still smiling.
12 Apr 2009 9:47pm
I failed to say that I cannot see where you merged the two images--seamless!

13 Apr 2009 6:56pm
Love the dichotomy, although thats the worst pattern on a sock I've ever seen! :)
13 Apr 2009 7:18pm
That vignette around the right sock is so nice. And the paperclip--can't miss the paperclip. Love the details.
14 Apr 2009 7:38am
Look at your foot, Ronnie, maybe there's the other one! :-)
14 Apr 2009 12:50pm
it might be just one ugly sock, but look how heavy it is!! it is the sock of socks.
14 Apr 2009 8:53pm
:) very funny. The other sock might be still in the washing machine
15 Apr 2009 1:48am
Love this one! Very nicely composed and fused together :)
15 Apr 2009 10:45pm
Might a single sock like that have found the same use over there as here? If so, you might need a rest after washing it.
