Heartbreaking... In my experience dogs actually go roaming and get lost or find better digs.. Cats go out for love and adventure and sometimes find it.

By the look of that post and all the left over staples, I'd say there have be a number of missing pets. Someone mentioned eloping. Perhaps this is the meet up place, you know "for a good time call..."

we have the same problem here, and a bigger one now that this crisis is here, it has been an increase of abandoned animals, and dog pounds are over quota.
