I don't think they do much! A friend of mine works 24 hour shifts where he has to stay at the station. If there aren't any fires in 24 hours it can be very boring. This is an awesome collection of shots. Really great work blending the 2 shots.

You raise an excellent guestion here. I would say these days they surf the internet looking for some great images, perhaps yours that tell a great story.
This is an interesting piece, a new story for my imagination to run on.
It brings back memories of a childhood school field trip to the local fire station. As I recall they would sleep in between calls. We didn't have many fires in our area so they must have slept a lot.

I think that firemen are very busy in some area. And between fire fights there should be lot's of maintenance and training. A very hard job and there should be more respect for them (I am thinking about France with some agressive people)

The guys I know like to cook - they spend hours planning and cooking a meal only to get called out to a fire just as they're sitting down to enjoy it. Figures, huh?! Nice composition.

There's so much to see in these photo's and what a lovely building! I guess they have a lot of maintenance to do and those cars look really shiny! Ronnie did a great job on the framing!
