Lilly : Help !! I have guests arriving and cannot open this vital jar, Ronnie.
Ronnie : No fear - I handled a rabid skunk with this gripping glove just an hour ago. On my way.
Lilly : I'm sure your presence will transform the occasion . .

Funny dialog and great photos. Those feet don't look like they belong to skunk though.
11 Apr 2011 5:20am
@Steve Rice: Yeah . . I wandered round the London streets but all the skunks were two-legged, Steve ! (Ronnie)
I'm worried as to what is lying next to the gloves... hopefully not the feet of the skunk :)
11 Apr 2011 5:33am
@✿ Anina ✿: Peep behind the scenes here, Anina ! (Humane Ronnie)
how DO you get that 3d look? is it just an unsharp mask?? is it the kind of camera you have? your pics are always soooooooo interesting!!! even tho i like dill pickles, not sweet ones, and skunks, meh, stinky
11 Apr 2011 6:16am
@Elaine-: Thanks, Elaine . . I think the 'look' comes from these often being studio shots where we can program the lighting - although, saying that, there are actually three shots here and only one was under lights - unless you count the one in Lilly's kitchen ! (Ronnie)
I think those paws are about to pounce on your smelly skunk glove. :)))
11 Apr 2011 6:39am
@António Pires: Yay ! I like that - nice one, António ! (Ronnie)
Poor guests...They are always telling me how much they enjoy food Last night at your Place...Enjoyable image.
11 Apr 2011 6:58am
Essence of rabid skunk is the perfect compliment to runny Brie and burnt anchovies, I find. A good choice.
11 Apr 2011 7:10am
@CElliottUK: Anchovies!! Yums !! (Ronnie)
hum.....I would better suggest to change the jar opener or I can lend you mine !
11 Apr 2011 7:16am
I'm not sure the stink of the gloves that handled the rabid skunk will be an asset to Lilly's dinner party. Perhaps you'd best stay home. :-)
11 Apr 2011 7:27am
It is a problem posed L. But he always solves R using any method or anything. It is always fun. Thanks for a good time on Monday morning! A hug, Adela
11 Apr 2011 7:34am

JP
11 Apr 2011 9:23am
@jpla: Merci - profiter de votre journée ! (Ronnie)
L= Problem ; R = Solution ; Two Senses = Nonstop humor ... Great !!! Thanks Lilly and Ronnie :)
11 Apr 2011 10:01am
@Sam: ha ha . . you got it, I reckon ! Thanks, Sam. (L&R)
Vous avez la tête pleine d´idées très personnelles !
11 Apr 2011 10:48am
@KENT KB: Merci - très apprécié ! (Ronnie)
@Jean-Louis: Merci - il est amusant de travailler ! (Ronnie)
Glad you kept most of that skunk out of view Ronnie, I hope the guests were looking forward to their skunk burgers and pickles.
11 Apr 2011 11:07am
@Curly: A meal never to be forgotten, Curly ! (Ronnie)
Relieved about the no-animals-injured, and a shame that no pickles were consumed, although it does say "whole" on the jar. Perhaps they are intended for purchase and time capsule use!
11 Apr 2011 11:26am
well that just about caps it all. A pretty pickle you're in Lilly, almost a piccalilli, but it's good to see Ronnie is getting to grips with things
11 Apr 2011 11:37am
Not a man with silk gloves..
Fantastic arrangement!
11 Apr 2011 11:41am
And Lilly agrees with your kind of help??????Then....she doesn't know the perfume of skunk yet.....
11 Apr 2011 12:28pm
@Japanalia: Oh, I think she has had first-hand experience of the beasts, Gabrielle ! (Ronnie)
Ha! I'm sure when Ronnie gets a grip the guests will sense the excitement in the air! And I like the little disclaimer at the end.
11 Apr 2011 12:48pm
Just whom do those paws belong to?
11 Apr 2011 1:04pm
@Julie Brown: It has floppy ears and hops, Julie . . . all studio work is supervised by qualified personnel. (Ronnie)
hey, don't let ronnie touch that can with THAT glove!
use a knife under the edge of the cap to let some air in...
11 Apr 2011 1:17pm
@yz: ( Lilly, you need listen to this man - he is trained in the culinary arts, I know ! ) (Ronnie))
something is smelly, hahaha!
superb collaboration!
11 Apr 2011 1:18pm

11 Apr 2011 1:59pm
I like the story and the pictures even I never use gloves for opening jars, but hammer...;-))
11 Apr 2011 3:10pm
Oh thanks for demonstrating how to bring out the special "flavor" of these pickles!:-))) Have an enjoyable meal!
11 Apr 2011 3:23pm
I had great success with opening cans and jars by smashing them on the floor.
11 Apr 2011 6:01pm
Geez, seems dangerous around here ;) I love in your composition the very details hidden here & there, like in a super game for our eyes, we look & seek & find... pleasures (here the paw i didn't see at first sight ;))
11 Apr 2011 6:12pm
God. Have not had a pickled onion for ages. Used to love them at Xmas with cold turkey and pickled red cabbage. My Uncle used to make them. Well I degress.........
11 Apr 2011 9:22pm
@Philip: I was miles away into my own misspent youth reading that, Philip . . funny how things trigger it off. (Ronnie)
amazing - giggle - as usual !! will be back soon.
11 Apr 2011 9:41pm
@ripple: We'll be here if you are, Ripple ! (L&R)
I didn't know Ronnie was left handed. Banging lid edge with silverware knife handle usually works for me, Lilly.
11 Apr 2011 9:42pm
@Anita: ha ha . . so happens I am LH but, in fact, the glove was not mine but found dropped in the street. Later, we pasted it into the studio shot of the 'skunk' and rubble and Lilly paired it with her jar. Thanks for your visit and Comments, Anita. (Ronnie)
I hope Ronnie didn't have to take a bath in tomato juice!
11 Apr 2011 10:24pm
They look like torture instruments, the pickles are afraid :)) Nice day.
12 Apr 2011 6:47am
Les grands moyens pour ouvrir .. un bocal de cornichons.
Mais quelles sont ces pattes que l'on voit à droite ?...
Celles de qui mange les cornichons ? ... ha ha.... ))
12 Apr 2011 11:15am
@tataray: ha ha . . voir les pieds ! (Ronnie)
Oh my! I know who NEVER to call the next time I can't get a jar open ;-)
What a scene...I swear I see fumes coming off that glove.
I hope the guests survived the party. Clever as always, thanks for the giggle this morning.
12 Apr 2011 12:56pm
You're like me: always willing to help in the kitchen. Such a kind guy! (I know what you mean about those two legged skunks. We've them on this side of the pond as well)!
12 Apr 2011 1:37pm
clever - your observations are perfect - I needed those gloves today when I was unscrewing my tripod
12 Apr 2011 1:53pm
We all could use those gloves for something, I love the jar-opener too, that is one lovely tool.
12 Apr 2011 2:15pm
@Pied Crow: I found that jar opener in an antique shop. I had remembered seeing one at my granny's house years ago and I was so glad to find a replica. (Lilly)
Very funny post! Excellent pictures and how they are related. Very creative.
12 Apr 2011 2:24pm
Always your unusual and unique compositions... what imagination... even a jar of pickles inspires you !!
12 Apr 2011 2:40pm
Ah yes, it's silly Tuesday again, very clever.
12 Apr 2011 3:04pm
Oh mY! Lilly, just grab a rubber glove and give it a try! Keep Ronnie and his glove F A R away from the kitchen! ;)
12 Apr 2011 4:23pm
HA! Lily - don't let him get near you with that glove!! : )) And especially no pickle eating with that glove.
I have always said one of the most important reasons to marry is to have someone to open your jars for you. : ) -
12 Apr 2011 5:08pm
I can only imagine the the reaction of Lilly's guests when they get the odour of fresh skunk with their pickles.
12 Apr 2011 6:16pm
Très joli mariage comme d'habitude j' adore ! peace !
12 Apr 2011 6:47pm
@LB Vision: Peace, my Friends, peace . . . (Ronnie)
Very cool shot! The items are totally unrelated, but that's what makes the shot so interesting.
13 Apr 2011 12:28am
@Suzanne: True, true . . sometimes we just run with what we got and let the dialogue do the blending !! (Honest Ronnie)
another fine, funny moment in the lives of Ronnie and Lilly! Looks like you have gripped a lot of things...
13 Apr 2011 2:06am
Personally, I'm disappointed that no pickles were consumed. Very funny.
13 Apr 2011 2:17am
@Andrea: ha ha . . nice take - I like it !! (Ronnie)
@Paco Rubio: Hi, Paco . . greetings to you, too ! (Ronnie)
It's true that sometimes it's a nightmare to open these ;) Great composition ! Have a lovely day :)
13 Apr 2011 12:37pm
@Tamara: Thank you, Tamara - take care . . (Ronnie)
@Marie: ah, mais pas pour de vrai, honnête ! (Ronnie)
You have a way of capturing the "small" moments of life... Jar wrenches are the best friend of arthritics..
13 Apr 2011 5:50pm
@Steve: Indeed you are right on the friendship there - and they are the savior of many more of us, too ! Thanks Steve. (Ronnie)
LOL!!! Thank goodness for the back story, although in that the bunny appears to have hurt its foot (accidentally?) and Arlo is taking a look.
13 Apr 2011 6:29pm
@karla: oh, my . . thankfully, all studio personnel and visitors are fully insured ! (Ronnie)
Another superb story and creativity once again...excellent job and another fun time :))
14 Apr 2011 3:58am
my first thought was : is he extracting pickles with that tong ????
15 Apr 2011 2:30am
Whose feet are those? I'm not sure you know a skunk from....whatever? LOL
16 Apr 2011 4:37am
Might that glove turn the sweet pickles into dills?
18 Apr 2011 4:36am
excellent, i like your humour, and it s a nice conbinaison these shots ^^
