In a llittle read Coda to Darwin's "Origin of the Species", he reminds us that evolution isn't done only by the birds and bees. It's also done by socks. Given the right conditions(Sock drawer overcrowding, or particularly smelly feet), the socks morph into wire coat hangers. This amazing transition, which is similar to that used by butterflies, is very rarely seen, but the intermediate cocoons are sometimes mis-interpreted as dust-bunnies. The only way to stop the transition is to wash your feet more often, and sort out your sock drawer

A poster seems like a purr-fectly good idea! But what name does a sock answer to?

Lilly, it's all your fault, and you know it.
Put all of the socks inside a pillow case and tie the top with string, then put it in the washing machine.
Sorted!

Socks come and go, but I hope that kitty found its home again!

Perhaps you need to do a bit of stocking up, start an odd sock craze. Alternatively you could get them chipped. You know where they are anyway, nesting with all those missing biros and that blasted tape measure that's never where you left it.

This is a worldwide issue that we can all relate to, and so even as you tickle the funny bone with another wonderful post, you remind us of the importance of two socks in a pairing! We all must be more careful not to let our socks fall into the wrong hands... er, onto the wrong feet?

I think that poster will work just fine for Lilly's sock.

Posters never seemed to work for my missing socks. How about one for gloves and umbrellas?

the missing socks poster seems to be a dog, is it a dog-sock? I have to know because I've found something like the green and white sock in my dryer.

I, it is at the bottom of my bed that I breed of socks (lol) and the cat coils up in the warmth there.

Like thi idea... :-) With my daughter when she is at the house, i would have numerous posters on its bedroom door... i always find in the laundry basket a single sock of each pair... a big mystery !
