Bettina from Los Angeles, United StatesJust needs a little chain grease and you're good to go! 23 Feb 2012 5:54am @Bettina: You reckon ? And that grease won't get onto my white socks ? (Ronnie) ☺ ► ƸɼiϾ ◄ ☼ from Narbonne, Franceinteresting shot, and in same time you ve got a new bike, listen lilly, this one is better for you now :-))) 23 Feb 2012 6:02am Loukas from Athens and Thessaloniki, GreeceNice story and nice representation Ronnie 23 Feb 2012 6:21am Christine from Ellemford, United KingdomJust needs some WD 40 and your on your way 23 Feb 2012 7:27am @Christine: I used to date a girl who carried the aroma of that stuff and I thought it was perfume. Turned out she had a Ford Escort that wouldn'tt start without it. What a life. (Ronnie) CElliottUK from Reading, United KingdomAfter some discussion, Professor Ronnie Sinclair, agreed that his new super-lite, and submarine commuter bike designs needed a little work. Marketing Director Lilly von Laceypants, went ahead with the world-wide launch anyway 23 Feb 2012 7:43am @CElliottUK: ha ha . . knowing 'Laceypants, she'd make a go of it ! (Ronnie) DULCIE from Danville, CA, United StatesI'm speechless. This is just too too sad !! Even if you could combine them, the parts of these two would not make a suitable 'one.' I guess you just cut your losses and go for a new one !! 23 Feb 2012 8:04am @DULCIE: I agree. That saddle looks set much too high, Dulcie - I'd have to wear the leg-extenders and I get banned from many premises kitted with those. (Ronnie) Doug from Burnham-on-Sea, United KingdomI can see why yours failed Ronnie, mud bikes need fatter tyres, but throwing poor Lilly's down the hill cos yours didn't work is not a good idea ! 23 Feb 2012 9:07am Curly from South Shields, United KingdomThis is no time for scruples Ronnie, take what's on offer! 23 Feb 2012 9:28am @Curly: I did have a touch of scruples once, Curly - but they cured it. (Ronnie) PRASHANT from Mumbai, IndiaCool !!!...which one is lost & which one is found ?...:- )) 23 Feb 2012 9:49am kiwisa from North Shore, New ZealandThere are some things are better left 'unfound'. 23 Feb 2012 10:03am Stephen from Canberra, AustraliaThis bike looks nothing like Ronnie's - he would be different and ride a unicycle! 23 Feb 2012 11:46am Ellebelle from Medemblik, NetherlandsI'm afraid buying a new one is the only option .............. 23 Feb 2012 12:21pm Aly from Annen, NetherlandsFunny but you have your bike back ,) 23 Feb 2012 3:21pm RBL from Oxford, United StatesFunny shots, amazing where some bikes end up. I also agree with Stephen on the unicycle. 23 Feb 2012 5:18pm Adela Fonts from Barcelona, SpainI relish the composition. Dialogue do not understand much but I like ... Human always in a good mood ... Best regards, Adela 23 Feb 2012 5:20pm Denny Jump Photo from Easton, PA, United StatesDamn - and my son just purchased a brand new one for his daily commutes up and down the hills of San Francisco to and from his office downtown....these look like great possibilities....Always thinking on the bright side, eh! Good luck R2 23 Feb 2012 5:36pm Rick from Toronto, CanadaI hope you grabbed that bike, Ronnie, for a free upgrade if I'm to believe Lilly :-) 23 Feb 2012 6:12pm @Rick: It was tempting, must say . . . (R) Lena from San Francisco, United StatesNice found but useless.... great captured. 23 Feb 2012 7:10pm Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, CanadaLOL...looks like you have both come to ruin! A sad state of affairs! ;-)) 23 Feb 2012 7:27pm @Eric Cousineau: We have settled in to ruin rather well, I think ! (L&R) franz from Baden, Austrialeave them where they are ... in a few hundred thousand years they will be fossilised and cause all kinds of scientific speculation. meanwhile it's 'walk' or get new ones ... ;-)) 23 Feb 2012 7:48pm @franz: You are right on the discovery - someone will be trying to imagine what the skeletons formed part of ! (Ronnie) Hanry from Castricum, NetherlandsA pedal boat is also an option! Again a topic worked out perfectly! 23 Feb 2012 8:49pm Elaine Hancock from Rockville, United StatesI think I would just grab it and go Ronnie, but not sure how far you would get! That water on the right looks so polluted. Terrible! 23 Feb 2012 9:13pm @Elaine Hancock: Well, that mud is about five feet deep in places . . but, yes, there would plenty folk there like to see me try. Photographers most of 'em, too ! (Ronnie) Manola from Bassens, Franceune triste fin pour ces vélos... mais une composition géniale!!!;-) 23 Feb 2012 9:23pm @Manola: Oui, c'est triste à voir. . avoir un excellent week-end, Manola. (L&R) Steven from Chicagoland, United StatesSomething that I'll never understand when I see abandoned bikes......unless they were hotwired for their important parts, then dumped. 23 Feb 2012 11:28pm @Steven: I guess there is the 'stolen' stage in there somewhere . . . this was in the mud-banks of the River Thames. (Ronnie) B. Thomas from Arlington, Texas, United StatesThat bike gives new meaning to "chop shop" - but it will be gone for parts before morning. 24 Feb 2012 1:35am @B. Thomas: lol . . if they can get hook to it and pull it to shore it may well be a goer ! (Ronnie) Tara from Los Angeles, United StatesYou should've taken the nicest one of the 'possibles'. It's better than nothing! 24 Feb 2012 3:59am Ani from Bordeaux, FranceExcellent !!! I like your presentation very much Lilly and Ronnie !!! 24 Feb 2012 6:20am @Ani: Thank you, Ani . . (Ronnie) Mhelene from Paris, FranceA superb presentation ! The one in water looks pretty well and it would be a great photo to see you on it with water wich drips ! 24 Feb 2012 8:45am @Mhelene: ha ha . . you snappers out there are never short of good ideas ! I suppose I need romp in the mud for a few minutes before getting on the bike, huh ?! Love it ! (Ronnie-in-clover) Tamara from Aarschot, BelgiumThey have known better times ! Great find ! Have a lovely day :) 24 Feb 2012 8:51am jpla from St Barthélémy d, FranceExcellent ! Je te souhaite une agréable journée 24 Feb 2012 9:15am Julie L. Brown from Indianapolis, Indiana, United StatesInteresting commentary, as usual. It looks as if Ronnie's find was abandoned in a mudslide. 24 Feb 2012 10:37am Anita from Redon, FranceJ'aime beaucoup ; c'est bien trouvé, mais c'est bien dommage de finir ainsi.... 24 Feb 2012 11:58am Christophe Esnard from Angoulême, FranceI prefer the right one. It is more complete... (-; 24 Feb 2012 2:04pm Heinz from Hamm, GermanyDiese wilden Mülldeponien sieht fast überall. Traurig genug. Schöne Zusammenstellung. 24 Feb 2012 2:05pm hugo poon from hong kong, Hong KongSorry to hear about your loss Ronnie... (Ronnie) Francisco Romero from Carbajal de la Legua, SpainI am refraining to say a couple of things to Lilly. Ronny, insure the next bike. 24 Feb 2012 3:25pm @yz: I agree - I stood there and asked myself all kinda questions to which there were no ready answers . . (Ronnie) Tede from Aubenas 07, FranceI think this bike can not swim, you have to save Ronnie :) Good day. 24 Feb 2012 4:34pm Slackwater Don from Spokane, United StatesA funny concept expressed very well...only as you can! Wonderful concept and interesting humour. And lovely comments and discussion. 25 Feb 2012 4:57am @Sam: Thank you, Sam - AM3 always feels a nice place to be ! (from Lilly) Laur from Clermont-Ferrand, FrancePas soigneux les propriétaires de ces vélos et pas respectueux de la nature !!!Mais ça donne un joli montage ! 25 Feb 2012 9:33am @Laur: Oui, oui et oui! Profitez du week-end, Laurence. (L&R) Steve Rice from Olympia, United StatesLilly's onto something. A little wash with the garden hose and that thing will look like new. And lily you gotta understand a few 'guy' things dear - old bikes, old jeans, old whisky - they're all like old friends - you cannot get over or rid of them. The older they get - the closer you feel to them, right Ron? :) 25 Feb 2012 3:58pm l'angevine from Angers, Franceeh bien ce vélo a perdu son propriétaire qui s'est peut-être noyé 25 Feb 2012 6:28pm Crash Ryan from Weehawken, NJ & NYC, United Stateslooks like you stumbled upon a crime scene ....! 25 Feb 2012 6:41pm Pavan Kaul from Mumbai, IndiaBeautiful color and detail in this superb presentation of a sad scene. Those machines must have once given much pleasure to their owners. Well done! 26 Feb 2012 1:56am Julie DiCarlo from Austin, United StatesOh this takes me back and reminds me how sad it is to come back to a vandalised/stolen bike. Last year of grad school I wised up and got a cheap steel bike and I'm still riding it today. More for your money than those fancy aluminum bikes, weight-wise! :) 26 Feb 2012 5:45am @Julie DiCarlo: Sadly, we live in a society where stealing and trashing other folks' property is near universal . . I guess there's a gene misplaced somewhere out there . . . (Ronnie) Gemma Wiseman from Melbourne, AustraliaSo sad to see this kind of waste when there are so many who could at least use parts! Mother Nature would not be happy! She will work on giving them a good rust! 26 Feb 2012 8:06am @Gemma Wiseman: Yes to all that . . little of it makes sense out there. Stay safe, Gemma ! (Ronnie) Florence from Paris, FranceAnother great exemple of your talent with composite technic. 26 Feb 2012 9:43am @Florence: Thank you, Florence - we hope the weekend is being kind to you. Ronnie be careful with the mud, I could escape but have lost my boots in a place like this... 26 Feb 2012 11:33am @Akaruiphoto: According to Lilly, a guy could lose his shorts in mud like that. Not sure how she knows these things but she does . . (Ronnie) @Iris: ha ha . . we were waiting on someone offering a positive ID !! (L&R) Lydia.Dd from de partout et de nulle part, FranceI think the one the police found for you Ronnie is better , I can help you with my karcher .....and paint ! 26 Feb 2012 12:00pm Sarala from Chicago, United StatesMakes for a sad story.
