Thomas from Arlington, Texas, United StatesRonnie, I'm surprised you didn't FIND your missing tooth in the next Rolo. It could happen, my friend. 3 May 2012 1:38pm Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United StatesMy best buddy in 1st & 2nd grades was a boy named Wesley, whose Mom was English-born and raised. And being of dual nature (English/American) he introduced me to the finer things in imported candy - specifically - Rolo chocolate - "made in England" he proudly told me. I became an immediate devotee of Rolo candy. Over the years since, I lost track of my friend, but I can't see (or savor) Rolo without remembering Wesley with appreciation. Your rendition of Rolo-ism today is terrific, and a nice reminder of years and friends gone by. 3 May 2012 1:40pm @Viewfinder: Glad we brought back the fond memories there, Glenn . . it is strange how little things can spark off the wizard and set the recollections on a roll ! Thanks for that lovely Comment. (Lilly and Ronnie) Photographs by M.E. from San Francisco, United StatesLove to Share, Live to Laugh!!! Thank you... I get this vibe from your photos! Ronnie - you look dignified with your tie... you probably could do some help from Lily with fixing that baseball cap... is it a baseball cap...? lol! 3 May 2012 2:21pm @Photographs by M.E.: ha ha . . yes, it is the closest thing to a baseball cap I've got here - I went for the 'impromptu' look, I think ! Thanks for the feedback smiles, Maria. I love that tie. 3 May 2012 5:03pm @Steven: Ha ha, Lilly has teeth to spare and I've offered her a bag of Rolos for one that might fill that gap, Steven. But the necktie is for real. (Ronnie) Sadly, yes, that tie is real ! (from Lilly) Adela Fonts from Barcelona, SpainThey are good these sweet chocolate? I have not ever eaten. I think the teeth are lost if you abuse them ... if I understand correctly ... home ironic discussion. fun as always ... The elements of composition are excellent .. (from Lilly) @Leyla: Thank you, Leyla, and welcome to OurTwoSense. Your posting today is wonderful. (Lilly and Ronnie) Becky from los angeles, United StatesOH the tie and cap! :) I just asked my Brit born hubby if he remembers Rolos. "Oh Yes, he exclaimed, but WE had them with ENGLISH chocolate!" "I know, I know" I said. "Not like the ones here in America, the home of bad chocolate. " Will I ever hear the end of the differences in chocolate? Ha, and your Rolos look a little more American than Lilly's, Ronnie. Kind of flat and too well done. : ) Now about that missing tooth ~ just don't smile too big and no one will notice. 4 May 2012 4:59pm @Becky: A tight-lipped smile will see me thru, Becky . . as to the Rolos, they were traditionally (and likely still are) sold in rolls in the UK. All those in the image are from bags as seen in Lilly's side of the image. Rolos on Wiki. Merci encore, Kat. Thank you ! Both of us are wishing we had made more of this photographically but, possibly, we would have reduced the fun and magic by getting too serious ! Thanks again, Kat.
