wow ! so clever ! did you put your shoe on the statue or is it a PS processing ? I once knew a guy who visited Japan on the rainy season with a big hole in his sole. Too mean to buy some new shoes, he protected his foot with a plastic bag !

My husband had those too in the 20th century :) They look great on the statue, much more class than the pink Nikes although they look more comfortable, despite the color :)

Those are shoes with sole Ronnie. Woven leather, no chance of stink-foot there, even if they are a trifle down at heel.

Loafers never date but hey I'm a buff old traditionalist.

Wonderful footwear, both of you for very different (ahem...) reasons. Ronnie, I've got a hot tip for you should you ever visit Toronto. We have the Bata Shoe Museum here and as far as I was able to make out, security is rather lax (ahem...) ...

I am impressed that the statue was wearing the same shoe as you, Ronnie. It shows your excellent, timeless appreciation for the art of shoe wearing. Now Lilly on the other hand...I know from experience that those shoes start out looking lovely, but soon begin to wear thin in spots and worst of all begin to STINK! Artistically hers are prettier, but yours are long lasting. Another wonderful story that made me smile. Thank you.

Just like they say 'walls also do have ears..' here we say 'statutes also do wear shoes..!!' haha! Great convo here - didn't silly lily know that when its the deep dark night and nowhere noone walks on the roads, statues do descend from their mounts and wander across those piazzas and streets to un-jamm and loosen their joints :) great picture!

Those pink Nikes are snazzy, but I think Ronnie should just add some frilly socks to his old loafers and he will be set!
