Ha! Great story and great title. The best though is eggs IN toast. You tear the center of a slice of bread out and make a hole. Then you butter it, put it in the skillet and crack and egg in the middle of the hole. You then fry the egg and toast together. Mmmm. I might have that for breakfast today. Great image and I love the vignetting!

Hi, Claudia ! I think that's what we call "Sunshine Toast" and it is a great standby for the odd spot of hunger or a surprise visit by the homeless !
So frugal! Why do you use credit cards to pay this so-called meal?
26 Jul 2009 3:20pm
excellent composition again
26 Jul 2009 3:23pm
I hear things are costlier in the U.K. but that's ridiculous that it takes 5 credit cards for such a meagerly meal. The skinny chair may be appropriate for meals like that.
I love how you composed this "self assembly" story line.
I couldn't help notice the Lurpak butter too, they actually sell it in our local store (to make authentic recipes I can assume) I'll have to give it a try.
A winning creation.

(from Ronnie) Thank you, Barbara, for all the Comment-contributions you make to our humble postings. The butter is mine and I use so little in my diet that that little pat will last me a week or more!
You have such clever ideas!! This is great!! Love it! Great shot. : )
26 Jul 2009 8:26pm
nice shot, well done
26 Jul 2009 8:53pm
Very nicely done.

looks like my breakfast :)) Excellent shot , super delicious breakfast :))
26 Jul 2009 9:26pm
Very nice. I like the composition and colors.
26 Jul 2009 9:42pm
@John: Thanks, John. The colors did work out well and the ‘theme’ of blue running thru the finished composite was pure chance – a rather lucky one considering that it is in three different originals !

Do you need a credit card to pay for burned toast?! :)
27 Jul 2009 5:46am
..AND butter! Something that reminds you of airline food??? BTW - love the chairs - makes me think there's an idea for a complicated Chinese puzzle lurking somewhere there!
27 Jul 2009 6:21am
Love the toast love the chairs, you two are such a team!!!!
27 Jul 2009 11:35am
Another perfect title. This looks really good about right now considering we are out of food in this house. Once again, another creative image.
27 Jul 2009 12:14pm
That's some mighty fine butter! Somebody toast me a slice ...
27 Jul 2009 12:40pm
(from Ronnie) Thanks, GJC : I’m not much of a butter aficionado but I do remember this was very expensive butter compared to others at the store !
I really like the eggs on the blue plate, it packs quite a punch. Great composition and depth of field. The story is superb (as always).
27 Jul 2009 1:13pm
(from Ronnie) Thank you, Sharon. The blue plate was a surprise to me when I saw Lilly’s image but I went on to love the way it related to my credit cards and the thread of blue in the wall. In fact, the blue makes this image for me.
27 Jul 2009 2:22pm
You beat me on this one, but as far as I can see something went terribly wrong here! :-D
27 Jul 2009 2:51pm
That must be one expensive meal to need three credit cards. ;-)
27 Jul 2009 6:51pm
Yum! I like both of them. Well done, as always.
27 Jul 2009 9:01pm
Mmmm, eggs and toast.
28 Jul 2009 12:43am
hoho, were you trying to give the impression that somebody has difficulty paying? With all the credit cards on the table..You won't believe it but though i am nearly 30 i never had a credit card to my name.haha.sometimes caused some inconvenience but then again! your suggestion to talk to plant was a good one!:)
28 Jul 2009 12:52am
(from Ronnie) . . awwww . . thank you, Tyan. As is happens, those are not ‘real’ credit cards but I keep a collection of ‘dummy’ cards sent to me regularly by AmEx in an effort to win me back as a customer ! The one card I do have has funded wonderful shopping trips across Europe and to Australia and NZ this year already. Trouble is, it was not me using it !!
Looks like an expensive breakfast... what's with all the credit cards?!
28 Jul 2009 5:40am
@Daryl Johnson: hee hee . . thanks, Daryl - see above
The eggs look so good, the toast...not so much. Cool combination, love the skinny chair.
28 Jul 2009 6:27am
hmmm, should we infer something about the fat content from the chair width?
28 Jul 2009 8:14am
@djedfre: chubby smiles . . as long as you are in Afghanistan, you can say whatever you like !
i like the chairs!!! very neat, i'm sure theres a cool story for the credit cards.

Great! Love the different chairs, the wallpaper decoration going arouond the room, the shadows, and, of course, the main course.
29 Jul 2009 12:07pm
Next time order " eggs in a nest" a Central Pennsylvania breakfast, one will never eat Eggs and Toast again:) Better check your cholesterol....
29 Jul 2009 2:18pm
I like the color choices --especially for the plates.
29 Jul 2009 10:59pm
Another outstanding image. The ideas you two come up with never cease to amaze me! (I know, I'm always saying it, but someone has to!)
5 Aug 2009 2:30am
