Lilly : Nothing like a soothing cup of green tea to settle my mind on a hectic day.
Ronnie : Yes, I’d have a coffee but cannot decide on Caffé Crema, Espresso or a Starbucks House Blend on the Tassimo or to run a quick Lavazza thru a filter or, maybe, to chase a real Illy espresso . .
Lilly : You need a green tea to calm you down, Ronnie.

It looks like you need a lab and be a scientist to make coffee Ronnie. Lilly has the right approach, simple hot water over natural leaves and served in a dainty, elegant vintage cup and saucer.
All you need Lilly is a swing on the porch to sip your tea.
Another classic creation!

@Barbara: You are right, Barbara, I should learn to keep life simple ! I have a set of books on it somewhere in the lab . .
I would take Lilly's advice here. You can never go wrong with green tea. It is always good for the soul!

You know what always calms me down, Ronnie? A nap. :) You need a nap..and then some tea...and maybe then some coffee. Love Lilly's delicate china cup next to the modern day crazy coffee tehcnology!

Both are signs of decadence! :o) I prefer a cup of coffee brewed by hand. Bagged tea, brrrh!

I'm not sure that tea will do the trick, perhaps a nice cup of Ovaltine :0

@grouser: I wonder how many people still know what that is !
;)) Did you ever think of proposing your serie in a magazine (or even TV or any support as web, and so on, but a magazine seems so much appropriated), Ronnie ? I'm serious, this would be perfect ! You do a book to let them see the various clever scene you already created and I bet they'll appreciate both your humor and your photo skills. It would make a fantastic rendez-vous in a weekly or monthly issue !

Overwhelmed by technology, Ronnie. What about a black, strong, hot, coffee? From a good aromatic blend.

I like your list of options..I'd go for an illy espresso. That's my brew of choice, in fact, I'm sipping one now as I admire this crisply clear excellent almost black and white still life !!! :-)

@Dulcie: I'm with you on the Illy, Dulcie . . in fact, I'm sipping one right now ! (Ronnie)
keep it simple Ronnie - by the time you figure out what kind of coffee to have it will be time to go to bed!! Very funny....

Great still life set up. I find I'm drinking more hot beverages as the temperature drops outside.

Can feel the tension in this image - the underdog, the calm, soothing tea takes on the java-juiced giant!

Good evening, Ronnie,

3 Nov 2009 10:11pm
Tea, certainly the way to go to settle, coffee to rev up in the AM. I am with both of you!
4 Nov 2009 1:38am
I like this shot, the details of the coffee, the tea and the way the light catches those tiles on the wall. Maybe start with the tea and progress to the coffee :)

This is great. I looked at my counter yesterday and I saw a can of ODOR EATER foot spray sitting next to the peanut butter. Can you tell I have all boys. For some reason this image brought back the image from my kitchen.
Great shot.

Love the composition and light in this one! The diagonal line from lower left to upper right works beautifully, and the BG is fabulous! Love its luster. Of course, the humor is great--too many choices!?
