Lilly : Sorry, I left it too late to show my snowman at his best.
Ronnie : Oh, mine was by far the finest ever. But that was yesterday.
Lilly : Yes, I believe you, Ronnie . . I bet he had a long nose, too, poor thing.

Farewell dear snowmen--we'll see you again next year!

Effects of global warming: snowmen are an endangered species.

Snowman Lilly? Looks more of a snow woman to me. A touch of Henry Moore perhaps whilst Ronnie's is more of a minimalist statement ;)

That's OK Lily, your snow lady has not lost her curves. While Ronnie's looks like a snowman archeological sight. They better hurry and dig for what remains.
The one on the right could have possibly been a Florida snowman about a month ago.
I have to add this is another masterpiece of the work you two do.

Nothing looks more sorry than snow on its way out...

The snow is melting and soon snowmen will disappear... There are some signs of spring coming allready here, plum trees are in flowers.

Just had several inches of rain, can't imagine how much snow it could have been. Cool shot, like the various colors and tones. Well winter isn't over yet so I'm sure there will be another snowman to photograph.
26 Jan 2010 1:48am
I like the shot...a sad story indeed.
So much rain here, if it was snow we would surely be buried.

26 Jan 2010 5:15am

26 Jan 2010 10:43am
Wow! Lilly has quite a sharp tongue, doesn't she? I think that last comment was just not cricket :)
26 Jan 2010 12:08pm
Lilly's reminds me a bit of prehistoric 'Venus' figurines, but don't worry, Ronnie: new snow will come back soon!
26 Jan 2010 11:16pm
Get both of your snow "people" behind the picket fence and they will make snow babies with the next storm:)
27 Jan 2010 12:56am
Sometimes life just, melts away before your very eyes. Maybe Lilly has better quality snow....?

Good evening, Lilly and Ronnie
yes, it is. Everything is eventually passed ...... It is a pity that I did not see the snowman in all its previous glory. Do not be sad, it might snow again soon and then I come over and we build together a new snowman. I wish you a pleasant evening and a lot of fun still. I am very happy to visit your site.
Dear greetings Christel

The one Ronnie 'made' looks like a giant frog who has an eye on your voluptuous snowlady Lilly! :)

Reminds me of Carrickfergus:
My childhood days bring back sad reflections
Of happy days so long ago.
My boyhood friends and my own relations.
Have all passed on like the melting snow.
