Lily : I'm sure the price of soccer kit has risen during the World Cup !
Ronnie : Not happened here . . gets given away on the street.
Lilly : Oh, not if signed by one of your heroes, surely ?!
Ronnie : Especially if that, yes !

Great stuff. I think there are a lot of people who are 'world cup tired' and would happily give it all away!!
12 Jul 2010 7:29am
LOL!!! Excellent! Is it my imagination or do I see a rugby ball as well? ;-)
12 Jul 2010 8:09am
@✿ Anina ✿: ha ha . . indeed you do - a casualty of war ! (Ronnie)
great and funny shot
12 Jul 2010 8:16am
Some swelling and some comic! A dramatic situation in the world and dreaming of glory absurd are useless! A slight prick and toto has disappeared. Toso has come to nothing! Excellent title and text Ronnie!. The world is so full of air! Best regards Adela
12 Jul 2010 9:05am
@Fonts: Thanks, Adela . . all over until the next time ! (Ronnie)
It's all spherical objects as far as I'm concerned :0
Your presentations are so unique - I can decide whether you think through your images or do they come to you as you ponder your navel? Great as always as they bring a smile to our face!

@M@ndy: Well, I just happened to see that 'offer' on the street right after England got what they deserved but quite how Lilly found herself in the back of the net I'm yet to find out ! (Ronnie)
It seems that the performance of English players wasn't the best. The main reason imo is that the English Championship is so demanding that by the end of season players are exhausted. Another reason is the huge amount of foreign players playing in England. English club teams is one thing, English squad is another one.

@António Pires: Perfectly put, Antonio. I was amazed that Inter Milan won the Champions League final in May without an Italian in their starting line-up so it is not just an English problem, no ? (Ronnie)
new vs old. Both balls trapped in a way. Interesting.
12 Jul 2010 10:54am
I think that just about sums it up Ronnie, Englands feeble attempt was..... worthless. Tell Lilly the signatures devalue the shirts :0
12 Jul 2010 11:00am
An interesting composition

So well presented and great title, I am sure in some countries after the world cup interest in Soccer has diminished (not naming any countries in specific) but in NZ I believe it has picked up even though we didnt make it past the round Robin we can claim to be the only team that left the 2010 World Cup Undefeated :)
12 Jul 2010 12:49pm
I've never seen a purple soccer ball before.
12 Jul 2010 2:24pm
Haha! Well, it's all over now. We can all go home and pull ourselves together and start the long climb up for another go. :))
12 Jul 2010 3:04pm
Inflated soccer, and soccer inflation! Love it!
12 Jul 2010 3:11pm
What timely subjects for these interesting shots and even more interesting comment.
12 Jul 2010 3:12pm
Time to start practicing for the next go! Our season starts in one month, practice, practice, practice.
12 Jul 2010 3:18pm
Really cool shot, nice one
12 Jul 2010 6:29pm
En prévision de la prochaine coupe du monde ?... )))
12 Jul 2010 6:56pm
@tataray: Tellement de choses à faire - si peu de temps ! (Ronnie)
Ronnie's scene is similar to what's happening here in NJ. People are back to ignoring soccer(football) once again. :)
12 Jul 2010 8:01pm
@Amanda: Yes, the big scene fades away fast . . thanks, Amanda.
Gotta let it go Ronnie....
12 Jul 2010 8:42pm
They are relegated to non-professional now,
Now the kids can use them. Great post.
12 Jul 2010 9:21pm
Heros don't carry the premium they once did, I guess. Maybe soccer stars should have a few more scandals to keep people interested. It seems to work for sports stars over here.
12 Jul 2010 9:37pm
Ha - this is great.

With all your interest in the SWC, I wondered how long it would be before you posted something with a soccer theme! Love this - and your comment, though it really was sad England had such a poor showing.
13 Jul 2010 6:37am
@dobbino: Thanks, Rob. As I responded to M@ndy, above, it was pure chance we ran a WC theme but we got a chuckle from it. Well done on the hosting, btw. (Ronnie)
That's such a giveaway! LOL.
13 Jul 2010 8:14am
@Xerophytes: ha ha . . yes, all over, now - thanks, Allan.
ha ! I suppose it's because of the English relsult ?
13 Jul 2010 10:44am
A good opportunity indeed to post this theme, the word cup news are still in good place. A pretty color ball stop by the net lilly has found there.
13 Jul 2010 11:33am
In France a dedicated ball would not cost much... the amateurs of football are very desapointed and angry with our pathetic team. The trash can is probably a good solution... :-)

Good evening, Ronnie,

funny dialogue. cool purple ball.
14 Jul 2010 12:18pm
This is awesome. Was fun, but I'm glad it's over... Until Brazil was eliminated, the car-horn honking in my neighbourhood went on for about 12 hours a day.
15 Jul 2010 4:52am
I like the double meaning of inflation; and the two images work together perfectly,as usual
16 Jul 2010 6:20am
