Lilly : I'm worried what I might find Arlo and Lizzie have been up to while I've been away, Ronnie.
Ronnie : Oh, I'm sure y'll see they are both safely in their boxes like you instructed, Lilly.
Lilly : hmmm . . maybe . . but I've just seen a fire truck exit my street . .

Quick! Get inside before she sees you! This is getting more tense by the minute!

Don't worry, Lilly.. Arlo and Lizzie were on their 'best' behaviour while you were away. I'm sure Ronnie could vouch for that! :D

Coming out of their boxes ... They do not know what awaits them if they fall into the hands of an artist! Soon will be the test d'anatomy! Arms up, legs bent ... alternating ... that hard! It hurts all! When will it stop?
A big recall for me and also fun! Thanks you very much a Lilly!

But look at how clean everything is -- and no one has any burn marks! If they did do anything while you were gone, you have to give them credit for cleaning up so nicely! :-)

Nice stuff. Good lighting and set-up. I think I am not wrong is saying this is probably unique on the site!

Rofl! Superbly done - these wooden creations are a real work of art. Can't get over how lifelike they are! And loved the story leading up to this image.
18 Jul 2010 9:21am
@dobbino: Thanks, Rob - yes, 'directing' these manikins is quite an experience and it is kinda frightening how they so easily take on living attributes. (Ronnie)
Such great images you do out of those 2, and never tried a little movie, image after image ? Would be exxxxcellent with your humour, i bet this serie would score for a short program on TV ! (the screenwriter speaking within me here - and seriously ! ;) Congrats, you rock !
18 Jul 2010 10:11am
@k@: Agreed, Karine, we do find ourselves writing a kinda screenplay for some of their escapades and, as with the stage and movies, there is a reactive feedback . . even though they are made of wood ! (Ronnie)
Those two are always up to something... it's as though somebody has been coaching them. Did you attend teaching college Ronnie..... :0
18 Jul 2010 10:47am
@Michael: ha ha . . rumbled ! (Ronnie)
@Michael: Very welcome !
Wood you credit it. The little shavers. That's right, back in the box. It's cardboard city for you when she gets in.
18 Jul 2010 11:02am
@Florence: Yes, it feels like we get close to that, at times ! Thanks Florence.

18 Jul 2010 1:07pm

18 Jul 2010 2:07pm
Arrrgh! The drama - the drama! Heavens - what's next?
18 Jul 2010 3:43pm
Aw shucks--back in the box. Poor Lizzie is so sad that her tail is even pointed down.

18 Jul 2010 7:35pm
They quickly hide themselves in their boxes when Lilly is getting back, not a good sign... The next image may show what they have done.

Welcome back!
Love your style. I always felt like looking at a comic strips!
20 Jul 2010 5:38pm
@Xerophytes: Thank you, yes, we did run some comic strips way back and enjoyable as they were, we found them very time-consuming ! (Ronnie)
just like cats - you rarely see them in the act (just the aftermath)!
20 Jul 2010 8:51pm
Love this capture! Thankfully no fires. Great use of your lighting to cast the subtle shadows.
20 Jul 2010 9:58pm
@Steven: Thanks, Steven. This was using filtered natural light and a touch of bounce-flash fill . . I find that best to get the sculptural feel in the little figures. (Ronnie)
They must have cleaned up first no sign of any charring anywhere
21 Jul 2010 12:03am
Things look pretty calm now, but give it a few days and these guys will mess it up!
21 Jul 2010 1:30am
As a near-Luddite, I'm marvelling over the dialog box sticking out of the frame. Oh, the mysteries of digital technology...
I like these little guys, too.

Good evening, Ronnie
I am a little late, but I'm here. I hope not, that Arlo and the lizard again everything went wrong. The two can not leave unattended. It is better when both are placed in their cartons. It's best to stick to the cardboard boxes with adhesive tape around. So then is quiet for a long time. I am looking forward to the next trick. 5 Stars ***** Have a nice evening, and all the best. Dear greetings Christel
