Lottie : So, what in the world of honey makes you think this cage is for one of us ??
Russell : I heard Arlo talking about it with that horrible lizard of his.
Lottie : Arlo ??! Aww, that knot-head is just baiting you, Rusty.

Bear with me fur a second on this honey trap scene...Let us paws for a moment...
Nope sorry, I'm all out of bad puns today
27 Jul 2010 10:18am
@grouser: We thought of you when writing the conversation last night . . we even succumbed to a few ourselves. Thanks, Grouser ! (L&R)
This is so cute! I can just imagine these two sitting and having this conversation over a cup of tea :) I'm curious as to which normally comes first... the story or the picture? You guys have a great sense of humor.
LOL!!! I love Grouser's comment!
27 Jul 2010 11:06am
@✿ Anina ✿: Thanks, Anina. There's no easy answer to your question and I guess it would vary from posting-to-posting. The white bear and cage here were seen put out on the street and I posed one from my collection to make the composition look like a discussion about the cage. So, in this case, the exact dialogue came later ! (Ronnie)
The beginning of a love-story ? :-)
27 Jul 2010 11:43am
but will they fall for it!
27 Jul 2010 12:23pm
I love the expression felt in this shot. The light is fantastic and I love the contrast in colour between the 2 bears.
I do think Grouser did say it all though :)
27 Jul 2010 1:00pm
@bluechameleon: Grouser is as much part of this site as us ! (L&R)
two kindly teddy bears
27 Jul 2010 1:06pm
That is cruel and unusual punishment...neither of those precious bears could fit in there. Poor Arlo and Lizzie...so misunderstood. :)
27 Jul 2010 1:44pm
A "knot-head" was new for me; how instructive these bear-talks can be!
27 Jul 2010 1:55pm
@MadScientist: ha ha . . yes, listening in can be a revelation ! (Ronnie)
You are guys so lovely ;)
27 Jul 2010 1:59pm
Hmmmmmm......do I sense trouble ahead? It is so hard to sit over a cup of tea these days without something popping up to interrupt it!
27 Jul 2010 2:11pm
Where's the white bear's drink ?
27 Jul 2010 2:28pm
Very sweet. Without the sinister intentions behind it by Arlo, it looks quite innocent! Beautiful image! Stay out of the cage! :))
27 Jul 2010 3:05pm
tea time :))
27 Jul 2010 3:56pm
Your stories are funny and clever! I put in a good mood! The staging is incredible! You set designer in normal life? Best regards, Adela
27 Jul 2010 4:02pm
@Fonts: Well, this 'set' was designed by whoever threw the white bear and cage out on the street ! (Ronnie)
Ha! I suspect they will grab their things and get outta there quick - if someone tries to put them in that cage! : )
27 Jul 2010 4:13pm
I think its bearly possible that arlo could have caged this dastardly plot
27 Jul 2010 4:51pm
@JJ: True . . but Arlo works in mysterious ways !
Yes! Just the kind of tale to celebrate a Silly Tuesday!
27 Jul 2010 5:24pm
Is your occupation window display by chance, you
would be gifted and omg you have so much experience.
Great photo as always.
27 Jul 2010 5:53pm
@Phil David Alexander Morris: That's very kind but, in fact, this is built around the white bear and the cage that were photographed thrown out on the street !
Too cute and what a wonderful (tough) work you've achieved here. I love your "composite" world Ron. :-)
27 Jul 2010 6:47pm
hooray!!!!!!! what bear ! downright fun.. words and picture so fab!!!:)
27 Jul 2010 7:31pm
awww... that's so adorable... Lottie I'm glad you're still here! What happened to Rupert? Did he get auctioned off? I hope not, if yes, I hope for a better price...
The picture, once again, is a fine example of a great collaboration!
27 Jul 2010 7:58pm
@Photographs by Maria Enriquez: oops ! . . I'd forgotten we had already used the name 'Lottie' ! I shall be in the cage myself for that ! (Ronnie)
Great acting. They look so natural. Mind you it would be a tight fit for either of them to fit into the cage.
27 Jul 2010 8:36pm
@Philip: Yes, would be a tight fit for sure ! Thanks, Philip !
Ohhhh super ...
j'aime trop le nounours blanc !!!... )))
Belle image pleine de vie ....
27 Jul 2010 9:22pm
Lottie is practically in the cage already!
27 Jul 2010 10:02pm
Good evening, Ronnie
the conversation between two bears is very interesting. I think it would be better if both had a cup of fresh coffee. The cage would be for Arlo and the lizard, very well suited. I think if both are in the cage, nothing can go wrong. Please try again. Again it was amusing to your page and I'll give you 5 stars ***** Thank you for all your nice comments. Good night and all the best. Dear greetings Christel
27 Jul 2010 10:07pm
@Christel: hee hee . .yes, you are right about Arlo and Lizzie - they should be for the cage !
Good work with light and shadows. That's one big cup that Russell is drinking from. ;-)
28 Jul 2010 1:42am
@Steven: Thanks, Steven. One of the (many !) things we have learned with these 'tableau' is the importance of scale and, yes, I would have preferred a smaller cup if I had one ! (Ronnie)
Love the lighting! And I can't wait to see if Rusty is right...
28 Jul 2010 2:21am
Ronnie, very creative shot as always! Love it! I always can't wait to see what you have next!
28 Jul 2010 3:14am
@Wild Mustang Photography: Smiles, Pam . . I so wish Lilly and I had the time to run little 'series' from some of these ideas and, like you, I can visualize where they might playfully take us ! But, sadly, the pressures of 'Life' are always too great. Thanks again for your contagious enthusiasm. (Ronnie)
Perfect Silly Tuesday shot. ;-)
28 Jul 2010 4:42am
@B. Thomas: (from Lily) ha ha . . yes, one of the reasons we don't share in ST is that it always seems to be a Tuesday 'round here ! Thanks, Barbara.
so cute they won't fit in there I think
28 Jul 2010 6:22am
i see bad things ahead!
28 Jul 2010 6:45am
28 Jul 2010 7:48am
You also make calendars with those cuties !
28 Jul 2010 8:30am
@k@: ah, yes, there are so many possibilities that rush thru our little heads before the next set of commitments we already have go critical ! Thanks for the encouragement, Karine - appreciated.
Mmm, Arlo is not so good boy as he seemed!
28 Jul 2010 8:53am
cool and creative as always
28 Jul 2010 1:23pm
Nice shot...inventive and unique.
28 Jul 2010 2:16pm
28 Jul 2010 2:44pm
Something sinister brewing...
28 Jul 2010 8:03pm
@Daryl Johnson: . . 'brewing' ? . . have you been discussing this with Grouser ? !! . . hee hee . . (Ronnie)
Lottie and Russel - ROFL!!! (No problem that there was another Lottie -i don't know anyone who has an absolutely unique name). Love the expressions on their faces - again, clever folk to make them look so lifelike!
28 Jul 2010 8:08pm
@dobbino: Thanks, Rob. The bears are much tougher to 'animate' than Arlo and Bebe but it is amazing how our minds apply attitude and emotion to these stuffed critters. The odd thing with these is that it never comes over 'in-camera' but only in the assembled image and linked script . . . then, it takes hold - if we are lucky ! (Ronnie)
What a serious conversation.... funniest of all is that the community is growing :))
28 Jul 2010 10:25pm
@Michael: ha ha, yes . . we already have two Lottie's in the street !
29 Jul 2010 12:03am
@Lorna: Very wise words.
très belle composition, pleine de poésie.
29 Jul 2010 2:19pm
@Marie: Merci beaucoup, Marie !
29 Jul 2010 7:54pm
Lottie and the cage are in harmony about the colors and light. Those bears should look for a bird to fill the cage but they prefer to talk around a cup of tea...
30 Jul 2010 10:57am
@Akarui: Yeah, the bears are behaving like most birds I know . . (Ronnie heading for the dog-house)
I love the witty stories the accompany your shots
31 Jul 2010 1:20am
great story to this superbe compostion
31 Jul 2010 4:29am
Been trying to think of a bad bear pun to leave here, but came up empty. Just as well--I simply like how these two are regarding each other.
1 Aug 2010 6:00am
@Zoltan: Thanks, Zoltan . . Grouser is Master of the Puns round here - we should take him on as scriptwriter ! (Ronnie)
1 Aug 2010 8:40am
@bahar: Thank you, my friend . .
Ronnie, I can picture you as a nine-year old, playing with your toys and friends, real and imagined.
Here you are all grown up, and you haven't lost your child-like sense of fun and freshness.
What a treasure ! :-)
1 Aug 2010 6:33pm
Interesting to hear how you set these 'dialogues' up
2 Aug 2010 9:50am
Nicely composed ! The light is very beautiful and I love the idea ! Have a nice day :)
4 Aug 2010 6:57am
So cute a shot! I always look for this conversation of yours :)
4 Aug 2010 7:47am
Wonderful light and detail! I hope the bears escaped!!! That cage looks sooo small :(
9 Aug 2010 1:55am
So that's what bears discuss over coffee. I'd always wondered.
15 Aug 2010 4:23am
Can't think of anything to say that hasn't already been done better above. Therefore, sorry, a lame"Great shot..."
27 Aug 2010 9:10am
I thought bears preferred beer to coffee?
