Ah McDonalds and their clever slogans..."I'm lovin it". ;-)
I read an article once that said fast food wrappers are the most littered item on city streets. I would think that is a safe bet... Give a hoot, don't pollute! (My favorite anti-litter slogan. haha)

Never had it so there was no lovin it -- but a great picture -- I'm always lovin
your photographs and humor. Have a great w.e.

@Phil David Alexander Morris: Thanks, Phil - have a good weekend, too !
@tataray: ha ha. . Pas pour moi, que ce soit! (Ronnie)
Those nasty things are everywhere. There was a McDonalds across the street from the school I worked at in Hiroshima. The locals lined up for that greasy stuff. I avoided it like the plague. Same with the Kentucky Fried Chicken.

@Steve Rice: (from Lilly) Now that's the way to look at it!
I presume that cool is not cold. Is it good? No, cold is good, cool is tall. Do they taste the same? They look the same, although cold is blue and cool is purple. Better have a beer.
13 Aug 2010 8:54pm
@António Pires: That's al lovely roller-coaster of a Comment - I enjoyed the ride ! Have a great weekend. António! (Ronnie)
I've completely bypassed these drinks coming out... no idea what they are. Gettin' good 'n old.
13 Aug 2010 9:35pm
@Daryl Johnson: I know the same feeling, Daryl. Spent time working with a guy recently who keeps stopping off to get a 'McFlurry®' - no idea what's in that tub and no wish to know . . hee hee (Ronnie)
Nice. I also like the water reference in design and grate.
13 Aug 2010 9:55pm
@Ken: So glad you mentioned that ! It was what started us off on this one when I saw the relationship like that on the street ! Thanks, Ken. (Ronnie)
I, like Antonio, am confused. Never seen one of these...guess I might have to at least peek in the door to see what I've missed. Hello McDonald's.
(You see what you start? Do you two feel proud of yourself? ;-) teehee !

It is important to get a good dose of good humor! Interesting discussion!
13 Aug 2010 10:18pm
HA! Scary that these are the drinks our kids will ask for! Great shot! Love the dialogue!
13 Aug 2010 11:58pm
@Becky: Thanks, Becky ! (Ronnie)
Very creative shot. Funny dialogue! Love these shots, keep them coming!
14 Aug 2010 1:54am
@Wild Mustang Photography: Thankyou - have a nice weekend ! (L&R)
Kinda ironic that the flattened cup is spotted over a water grate.....something we should drink a lot more than any McDonald's drink. :-) I start to feel queezy when I think back 15-20 years ago and I requested "Super size it" every weekday for lunch. :-(
14 Aug 2010 1:57am
@Steven: Agreed on alll that - I guess most of us have been along that route. Good to see there are so many 'healthy alternatives' out there these days . . but do they have the pull ? (Ronnie)
You are getting a little trashy, my friend. ;-)
14 Aug 2010 4:28am
@B. Thomas: Awwww . .come on down to the gutter with us - the only way is up ! (Ronnie)
Funny compo. I like also that W as an inverted M!
14 Aug 2010 6:04am
@Paco Díaz: Now, you guys are getting better than us at spotting this stuff ! I shoulda spun that W round into the M !! (Regretful Ronnie)
Never seen those here before, but then again I don't go to McDonalds.
14 Aug 2010 6:05am
I like the Right picture....the M turned over becomes a W....the M flattened on the W .... A lot to be said if it was in French :-))
14 Aug 2010 6:13am
@Veronique: You are salting my wounds of regret about that W/M . . both shots here are 'as seen' and we just let them speak for themselves. Thanks for adding to the fun - have a great weekend, Veronique. (Ronnie)
;))) Flat cool of Fat look, one has to chose, and you sure did, oh you sharped mind ;)))
14 Aug 2010 9:06am
Underneath the arches,
A t*rd in a bun
Got me on the run
That's no fun
Large fries with that?
and a case of fat
I'll drink to that,
but hold on a second this Long, Tall, Cool one tastes kind of flat.
14 Aug 2010 10:24am
@grouser: Very Clever...!!
I just read that fast food restaurants may soon be able to offer low doses of Statin (high blood pressure) meds along with their meals!!!! What is wrong with these companies????!!!! (The article did not appear to be a joke, either!)
14 Aug 2010 12:54pm
@Tracy: (from Lilly) That's insane!!!
An interesting composition with this duet of shots
14 Aug 2010 3:57pm
OBJECTION!
Getting it in the trash container = is cool
Littering our environment = is real cold
14 Aug 2010 6:50pm
@Stephen Phillips: (from Lilly) Well said!!!
all the symbols of consumers civilisation, a good sum up
14 Aug 2010 9:36pm
The Golden Arches--definitely not hot, flat or not.
15 Aug 2010 4:21am
Shows how much trash this company could make!
15 Aug 2010 7:33am
@Susan: Thank you, Susan - we aim to please ! (Ronnie)
@The MaJor: Thanks - glad you enjoyed it my friend. (Ronnie)
Flat like their food! Lilly knows a thing or two. She should have her own agony blog!
15 Aug 2010 8:52pm
@Philip: . . " . . an agony blog . . " . . now, there's an idea ! (Ronnie Thinking Again)
Same design but different color. I wonder if they sell those 2 products at the same place or if they make variations depending on countries. I usually don't go to McDonald... Nice pictures of their trash. I especially like Ronnie 's one, the W look like the M of the logo.
16 Aug 2010 1:00am
@Akarui: Well, like you, I am sure no expert on McDonald's but I actually went back and checked the colors on my 'cup' to see if they really were different to the US version and, to my surprise, they are - just 'as seen here' ! (Ronnie)
@M@ndy: ha ha . . rubbish, rust, ruin, decay, abandonment . . what a strange breed we photographers are ! Thanks, Mandy. (Ronnie)
Nice word play with the advertising labels, and with trash. These are images I wanted to look at more closely--maybe to figure out the differences and similarities.
16 Aug 2010 10:44am
Fun play on words. Kind of a sad statement about our global society - the ever-present McD's cup.
16 Aug 2010 12:09pm
My big LOL moment of the morning. Thanks!
16 Aug 2010 12:18pm
Well, the long and tall just got a little longer and a little taller there in the gutter!
16 Aug 2010 2:18pm
I always thought a long drink and a tall drink were the same thing...silly me.
16 Aug 2010 3:00pm
Such a cool representation of the subtle and sometimes not so subtle differences on either side of the pond
16 Aug 2010 7:46pm
What strikes me most is that the clear water is sealed and hidden under the surface!
16 Aug 2010 10:02pm
I think Lilly is right on this one Ronnie, but, I guess they are both cool.
17 Aug 2010 12:08am
LOL! I'M LOVIN' IT! :) A flat cool or a cool flat! Or maybe it's the sugar free one...
17 Aug 2010 4:11am
I guess it's a good thing I don't know what Good 'n Cold is... Consume enough junk as it is. I'll take a Coke though. Preferably not too flat.
18 Aug 2010 3:30pm
I have this fantasy that corporations will be made to pay for the cleanup of their trash. I'm sure this is somehow wrong but I live in a city littered with the new parking meter tickets it contracted for recently. It is the people who litter who do the deed but I think the guilt can be shared. Maybe corporations would care about their packaging more if they were held accountable too.
18 Aug 2010 4:01pm
Different packaging than I see around here although I am no expert on McDonald's menu... I can only hope my kids won't be the ones buying it and even worse, littering!
Lots to be said... lots to be seen.... Great work! :)
