Lilly : You may be surprised to know I have a teapot here at home !
Ronnie : Well, I don't have a teapot but a guy along the street has this one by his front gate.
Lilly : Oh, you Brits are such strange people.

@Allan Clark: Thanks, Alan - this one kinda emerged from nowhere ! (Ronnie)
I like Lilly's artistic photo, it's good. But the ornamental hedge really completes the story, nice work Ronnie. It must be a heck of a job trimming that bush every few weeks... :0
23 Sep 2010 7:08pm
@Michael: Yes, some dedication gone into trimming that hedge - must admit I've walked by on the other side of that street for ages without noticing the topiary . . sigh . . aspire to be a photographer, too ! (Ronnie)
I love both these teapots. Ronnie's is an original one for sure.

23 Sep 2010 8:16pm
@Adela Fonts: Thanks, Adela !
@yz: I've since learned there is a bit of a story to it . . checking it out. (Ronnie)
I think I'd rather drink a cup of tea from Lilly's pot.
23 Sep 2010 8:36pm
@Krisu: 'Green tea, anyone ?'
Love it! Two great images meet to make an even better combination. :-)
23 Sep 2010 10:02pm
Good evening, Ronnie
ha, ha, ha, haaaaaaaaaaaaaa it is very original and makes me laugh. It seems as if the tea pot, in the left image is filled with green tea. The plant grows out of the teapot. In the right picture it is also very original. The teapot hairstyle gives the green hedge a great outfit and makes it look very interesting. It's a great catcher and a fantastic discovery. Incidentally, the title reminds me of a song from the year 1925. Today was again very funny on your page. 5 stars***** Thanks for all your nice comments. Good night and all the best.
Dear greetings Christel
23 Sep 2010 10:10pm
@Christel: Thank you, Christel - enjoy the upcoming weekend ! (Lilly and Ronnie)
SO funny and creative! Love the composition!!!:)
23 Sep 2010 10:11pm
This is too funny and a great set of photos to prove your point.
So I'm going to have to go with Ronnie on this one here, as
long as there is not a hose spouting water from the spout.
23 Sep 2010 10:33pm
@Phil David Alexander Morris: ha ha . . I've since learned that there is a neighbor's dispute over this hedge and a demand that it be cut down !! Can you believe it ?!! (Ronnie)
well done. wonderful leading lines
23 Sep 2010 11:32pm
So funny and well done, someone sure is creative with their hedge trimming

Thank you to yz for mentioning "bush." I could not believe I missed that teapot! (blushing) I thought I was looking for something along the sidewalk. What a "natural" creation.

24 Sep 2010 4:37am
Incredible! It took me a minute to "get it!" I can't even grow a hedge like that, let alone sculpt it!
24 Sep 2010 4:40am
Oh, marvelous...it took me a moment to SEE ! ;-)
24 Sep 2010 5:04am
@DULCIE: I must be honest, I have walked this very street often without noticing the 'teapot' : shame on me ! (Ronnie)

Le bonheur de créer ...Et de réussir !... ))
Original et drôle.
24 Sep 2010 12:48pm
@tataray: Merci !
Super montage! Is that the postie's red cart at the end of the footpath? Looks like he has popped in for a cup of tea as well!
24 Sep 2010 1:47pm
@Stephen: Yes, it is the Postie's cart - they seem to leave them empty in the street to save taking them back to the depot . . not sure how that works but the things are dotted around the streets like this chained up. (Ronnie)
Very interesting combination and comment. It makes a fine image to post. Well done....again!
24 Sep 2010 2:45pm
Indeed we are, and indeed this is, yet again, a superb execution of a very original idea!

Harmony. Placement. Humor. Surprise. All that - and TEA ! for two!

25 Sep 2010 5:41pm
Now I can't get the song out of my head ;p. Clever is the word here. And wickedly artful. Post your PO Box, and we'll fill your slot with teapots...
25 Sep 2010 9:53pm
That sidewalk does seem to be a shade of Earl Grey.
26 Sep 2010 5:44am
Great! I'd like both of these pots at home^^ Original shot ^^
26 Sep 2010 9:46am
Very creative ... Beautiful composition and result
26 Sep 2010 11:23am
Love it! For a while I was focused on the red postman's cart, thinking "huh...?".
Still no internet or phone... Virgin tell me they can be round to install on Oct 12th. Can't get fibre optic, being in a small backwater town called London an' all. More expensive than Sky, but, it may be worth it if they are actually a company who can deliver the service they advertise.
26 Sep 2010 11:30am
@Daryl Johnson: I've been with Virgin Media for years (fiber-optic) and had only one outage of an hour or so in all that time. No complaints other than, as you say, not the cheapest. (Ronnie)
@Veronique: Yes, as I think I mentioned, this is not really that close to me but I'd read a lively debate about someone objecting to it overhanging the street . . some people ! (Ronnie)
Definitely a creative eye for finding and arranging these captivating images. Interesting work as always.
27 Sep 2010 4:51am
@John Maslowski: Thanks, John . . 'watch this space', as they say ! (Ronnie)
Hahaha, this makes my day! Is there a coffee pot version available too?
27 Sep 2010 9:56am
@MadScientist: . . smiles . . Lilly already has me working on a sequel . . please don't give her more ideas ! (Ronnie)
What a find ! Green tea ? Super diet & cool, indeed ;)) (just hope the spoon isn't a spade !-)
27 Sep 2010 5:50pm
@k@: ha ha . . I wish we had thought of Green Tea in our dialogue, now ! Thanks, Karine ! (Ronnie)
Such a good find! And the narrative, as usual, is good chuckle stuff :)
29 Sep 2010 6:46am
