Lilly : Were my old Lion keys any use getting into your secret room ?
Ronnie : No, no . . mismatch of over 200 years - had to replace the entire lock.
Lilly : Oh, what a pity - that looks new by your standards, Ronnie.

I didn't know that Lily knew about Ronnie's secret room. When did he let slip about it?
2 Nov 2010 9:19am
@CElliottUK: (from Lilly) Chris, I only found out about it when he got locked in there. The Fire Department are being tight-lipped so I've still got few details to share.

@Putter: Thank you for your kindness . . we both admire your urban and street photography ! (L&R)
Nicely composed image and beautiful colors. Nice contrast between rust and new keys. It is just as well that you replaced the lock as those old keys are expensive to duplicate. :-)
2 Nov 2010 10:12am
Amazing piece of rusty old lock you have found there. It's a shame its construction doesn't match the brass of the keys. It would have made for a great combination and the secret room would be safe forever!
2 Nov 2010 11:00am
aren't those the keys to the wardrobe? As in Narnia?!
2 Nov 2010 12:10pm

2 Nov 2010 1:28pm
Great story line, it certainly raises my curiosity of what might be in this secret room. Sounds a bit frightening.
I really like your composition for its macro value and interesting details, like the corrosion of the metal. Those keys are very appropriate to unlock a secret place.
2 Nov 2010 1:38pm
@Barbara: (from Lilly) Barbara, I've asked him to photograph the room but either his battery dies in there or film gets all fogged . . says it all.

I love the selective focus on the Master key. This exact key brings back memories of my childhood when I owned a "lockbox" to keep my money and other personal keepsakes away from my older siblings. :-)

@Soheil: Thank you, Soheil . . . simple images always seem the best !
You didn't even need a key to get into that secret room, just a firm kick of your leg :) But now I'm really curious what was inside?!
3 Nov 2010 7:37am
@Monique: As you would expect with a secret room, there is nothing in there but secrets . . . (Ronnie)
Cool! And I'm curious too, what's inside?
3 Nov 2010 7:43am
Great detail in a beautiful composition
3 Nov 2010 7:47am

Difficult to open the lock, it seems a bit worn!! Superb shot and magnificent detail and texture. Good day.
3 Nov 2010 8:05am
@Tede: Thank you, Tede. Yes, that trusty old lock has seen the last turn of the key, I think . . . next stop, a glass case and peering eyes. (Head Keeper Ronnie)

very nice textures and very well set up together
3 Nov 2010 9:33pm
Good evening, Ronnie
I think that the key with the lion motif is not one of the rusty part. Colors and details are excellent for expression. For that I give you 5 stars ***** Thank you very much for your nice comments. Have a nice evening and all the best. Dear greetings Christel
3 Nov 2010 10:17pm
@Christel: Hello, Christel ! Thank you for your nice Comment. Stay safe. (Ronnie)

Merci, Yvon et Tout le monde ici - heureux que vous ayez aimé celui-ci! (L & R)
Thank you, Yvon and Everyone here - glad you liked this one ! (L&R)
That was a total waste of money replacing that lock - it could have worked another 200 years by the looks of it. Those keys look "younger" than the lock ;)
4 Nov 2010 6:52pm
Super shot...LOVE that rusty ole' lock !! Somewhat like old people...high functioning is only a memory. ;-)
4 Nov 2010 7:03pm
