:
Bebe : Arlo, you have only to wear a tinfoil hat . . not an entire outfit !
Arlo : I'm planning on maximum protection, Bebe . . taking no chances.
Bebe : Just don't go into the kitchen dressed like that while Ronnie is baking shortbread, that's all.

so someone is getting a bit paranoid (or more than a bit)?
it looks like Arlo is inviting Bebe to dance - 'shall we?'
9 Dec 2010 9:00am
Somehow, it makes me think of The Wiazrd of Oz with the Lion and the Tin man... Is Dorothy around ? ;-)
9 Dec 2010 9:01am
I'm glad to see Arlo is taking the emissions threat from that new 3G mast seriously, but he needs to get those exposed bits covered up for a proper job:)
9 Dec 2010 9:58am
Good piece of advice, if you don't want to be seen as a wolf don't dress like a wolf.
9 Dec 2010 10:57am
@mikel: ha ha . . Gracias, Mikel !
Excellent friend! A aplausao your creativity once again! I love the dialogue and staging! Bravo! Best regards, Adela
9 Dec 2010 12:11pm
@Adela Fonts: Thank you, Adela . . we always enjoy working with Arlo and Bebe ! (L&R)
You can never be too careful. Ever since I was abducted by the aliens, I never go anywhere without my trusty colander on my head. It stops the voices.
You are so creative, I would love to know where the ideas come from!
9 Dec 2010 12:34pm
@CElliottUK: We ask ourselves that same question but find no answer. I am re-reading the books of Isaac Asimov and found myself wrapping Arlo in 'robot' costume. Seeing it, Lilly was reminded of the 'Signs' movie and the concept of tinfoil hats. After that, it was just a blurrrr . . hee hee. . . Thanks, Chris. (Ronnie)
Your creativity never ceases to amaze me, but i have to say the craze for tin foil hats seems to have never got as far as some may have wanted, as far as I can remember i have only ever seen one person in the city with a tinfoil hat on
9 Dec 2010 1:35pm
@JJ: Ah, but you never know what they might have under an everyday hat !!
The foil hats will protect us from the alien probes! But.. well it is good baking gear too. I really like the human bokeh, the fact that they are looking at the models. Very clever.. one of my favs so far. I gave it a 5* rating.
9 Dec 2010 1:45pm
Hahaha... He looks like a knight :) So well done ! Have a lovely day both :)
9 Dec 2010 1:51pm
Super amusing and entertaining! How I admire your wit and humor! The setting, lighting and tone are soooo nice!:-)
9 Dec 2010 3:56pm
J'adore vos photos, celle ci est bien réussie, ! peace !
9 Dec 2010 3:59pm
One can never be too careful around cooking, ovens, or micro waves....especially with foil! Nice post.
9 Dec 2010 4:01pm
C-3PO of 2010....! You got a great future ahead of you Arlo:-))))
9 Dec 2010 4:54pm
Paranoid...as in M. Night Shama-lama-ding-dong's movie Signs, the kids put tinfoil hats on their heads to protect them from the aliens. Wonderful and inspired photo.
9 Dec 2010 5:47pm
@Phil Morris: Thanks, Phil !
Brilliant.......... the best is i think the photo on the screen in the background!!!
9 Dec 2010 6:09pm
@Richard: Yes, it does look like the kids are wondering what Arlo might do next ! Don't we all.
Very creative composition with good color and use of light. Stay out of any lightning storm as well.
9 Dec 2010 6:37pm
Arlo - that would be a epic disaster if you go to the kitchen while Ronnie is baking shortbread, heed the warning!
I love how you composed this picture and the humor that went with it!!! the combination of the background photo and Arlo with his lady love in front is creative and one that I've not seen in your collection (right?)
9 Dec 2010 7:06pm
@Photographs by Maria Enriquez: ha ha . . yes, he better stay out of that kitchen for sure ! As to their friendship, yes, it goes back quite a ways and we might well republish when they first met ! Thanks, Maria ! (Ronnie)
Mdrrrrrr...
J'adore le fond de l'écran !....où j'aperçois , un joli chapeau. ))
9 Dec 2010 7:56pm
hey, this is cool! very original and unique and exquisitely rendered!
9 Dec 2010 8:15pm
@Franz: Thanks, Franz - welcome to OurTwoSense ! (L&R)
My comment: !
Fully foiled, again.
9 Dec 2010 8:33pm
@Stephen Phillips: ha ha . . you have been reading too many of Grouser's Comments ! Nice one, thanks, Stephen. (Ronnie)
Foiled again! If Arlo doesn’t need the full suit to keep the radiation out, he could get rid of the hat and go for a night out at the disco!
9 Dec 2010 9:32pm
@Stephen: yay . . you are giving us future ideas here !!
Wonderful composition, the vignette of people in the background is a touch of genius
9 Dec 2010 9:46pm
Very funny. Perhaps Arlo thinks he is a knight from Medieval Times.
9 Dec 2010 10:54pm
A knight in shining armor ^^ The shortbread may be gone before it cools so perhaps no danger there ^^
9 Dec 2010 11:16pm
What a cool creative shot! You need to do a book on all these! I will be the first in line to buy it! Seriously! Too funny!!!!
10 Dec 2010 12:43am
ha! This is hilarious - and the people in the backround - also in tinfoil hats! Ha. Great. I think the whole outfit is quite becoming. Arlo may start a fad!!
10 Dec 2010 3:50am
Wow, this is amazing! Love those two in the back also wearing tinfoil hats :) You two did again a fantastic job!
10 Dec 2010 4:36am
Beam me up! I want a generous slice of that shortbread. Then I can doff my foil cap. Count me in on the Kisses cult.
10 Dec 2010 6:32am
Another fine a nd interesting still life ronnie
10 Dec 2010 6:57am
I remember the movie......it would be better if it was taken as a comic parody instead of a dramatic alien-kind adventure - your work here shows the right direction for the particular scene....
10 Dec 2010 7:09am
@apodromos: Thanks . . yes, I've seen only the trailer ! (Ronnie)
i think arlo has really overexeggerated it (if i spellt that correct)
i know from my own experience that a single tinfoil hat is an effective protection against alien mind-attacks
i use it everyday and i'm still normal and sober, absolutely...
10 Dec 2010 8:10am
@yz: Yup, sounds normal and sober to me, Zoltán . . but folks say I might not be the best one to judge . . hee hee (Ronnie)
excellent ! Je te souhaite une agréable journée
JP
10 Dec 2010 9:50am
@jpla: Merci, JP - ont une belle journée, aussi! (L&R)
I see it as Arlo and Bebe on a runway making a new fashion statement. The audience appears a bit puzzled but with any high fashion line they aren't aware soon everyone will want it.
You two certainly know how to strut your stuff.
Love it!
10 Dec 2010 2:28pm
They are really cute too, a very good show beautifully laid out, bravo. Good day.
10 Dec 2010 3:03pm
aha,so lovely and creative thought:)love both of the foreground and the background.A very elegant mood here.
Have a wonderful weekend:)!
10 Dec 2010 5:34pm
Very humorous foreground but the background gave me a great laugh.... Thanks!
10 Dec 2010 6:08pm

Nicou
10 Dec 2010 6:17pm
@Nicolas: Welcome to OurTwoSense, Nicholas ! (L&R)
Just love how it relates to an earlier one.
First day without a scarf for a while so understand the need for full protection.
10 Dec 2010 6:47pm
wow..very sharp and the lighting is perfect...great work again ...
10 Dec 2010 6:55pm
Where do you find all those ideas ? Congratulations for your creativity and turning it into photography
10 Dec 2010 8:32pm
Arlo is stylin'! I like it. I wonder if they have something like that on Oxford Street ....
11 Dec 2010 3:11am
I love the skirt and hat Bebe and attitudes both !
11 Dec 2010 6:53am
There's no such thing like a tinfoil suit!
11 Dec 2010 10:30am
why a tinfoil hat ? to protect from lightning and thunder ... humm ... ???
11 Dec 2010 11:40am
@Bruno: Well, we took it from the movie 'Signs' but, from Wiki : A well-constructed tin foil enclosure over the head would approximate a Faraday cage, reducing the amount of radio-frequency electromagnetic radiation reaching the brain. (L&R)
Ha, one of my (numeros) fave at your place - and is that your from the other side of the (oven ?) glass ? Ah this is SO witty, my big grin of this saturday ! Thank you.
11 Dec 2010 1:22pm
@k@: Thank you, Karine. Have a lovely weekend - wear a hat ! (L&R)
haha another interesting shot again ! WELL DONE my friend : ) : )
11 Dec 2010 1:58pm
A very poetic composition, specially with the background
11 Dec 2010 3:07pm
@guillaume: Thank you - welcome to OurTwoSense.
I realy like your shots with their interesting stories :)
11 Dec 2010 6:43pm
I suppose the reason I don't get this one is that I'm not a movie person.
11 Dec 2010 7:05pm
@Anita: Believe me, I had to be coached by Lilly on this one as I am no movie-goer, either ! Enjoy the weekend, Anita. (Ronnie)
I love the entire thing. The movie reference, the tinfoil on the models, all of it.
12 Dec 2010 12:37am
so that is it. We know now thar Arlo is the son of C-3PO
13 Dec 2010 6:52pm
Arlo has never looked quite so handsome...like a knight, whereas, and don't tell her straight off, but Bebe's hat could use some bending down--she does look sort of silly--
14 Dec 2010 1:13am
@Susan: ha ha . . Lilly will love to read that because I re-worked Bebe's hat to make it more like those in the movie-still in the background . . I know she was far from convinced by my efforts ! (Ronnie taking cover)
I hope no Japanese sees this shot...otherwise we'll have them in no time dressed like Arlo! No joke!
14 Dec 2010 11:15am
@Japanalia: I do know what you mean . . I notice some very curious visitors even in London ! (Ronnie)
hahaha I think Ronnie is out of shortbread! So yes, please stay away from the kitchen, Arlo!
15 Dec 2010 6:01am
Absolutely love what you have done with the folk "looking in" on the scene. Just superb!
15 Dec 2010 7:19pm
Excellent composition, superbly well done, I love it
