Lilly : What's the latest on that court decision about my car damage, Ronnie ?
Ronnie : Oh, sorry, I was just exercising my snails . .
Lily : You mind they don't put on a turn of speed - y'd sure never catch them !

6 Mar 2011 5:25am
@Chris Pereira: I've leaned a lot from this, Chris . . . snails will never be the same for me ! (Ronnie)
I see they're quite prolific!!!!! And...after doing their job, they're now interesting in travelling, aren't they?! They seem eager to know more about traffic regulations....
6 Mar 2011 6:26am
Those snails are just having too much fun!! :-D Um, I am wondering what happened to brood #1?
6 Mar 2011 7:07am
@karla: Representatives of all three here : on the left, one of the original snails, on the leaf, a few of over 20 brood #2 babies and the third snail is from brood #1 ! Thanks Karla. (Keeper Ronnie)
and after do you eat them like the French do ? :-$
6 Mar 2011 8:07am
Now, the question has to be asked...Some people have dogs, some have cats, some have horses, some iquanas, parrots, cockateils, mice, gerbils and rabbits....Snails????????? Is this atonement for a heinous sin carried out in your youth? The gypsy in you admiring animals that carry their own house? Ronnie, what is the back-story?
6 Mar 2011 8:55am
@CElliottUK: ha ha . . well, I collected three snails for this posting and just could not bring myself to let them go. I realize, now - 103 snails later - that it was they who collected me, Chris ! (Ronnie)
Good job on the speech. The snail family picture ... reinforces the idea so excellent! As always a characteristic humor that is appreciated! Best regards, Adela
6 Mar 2011 9:32am
You raise intellectual lawyer snails..:-000000
Make sure they won't change their eating habits from leaves into pages!
6 Mar 2011 9:38am
you have pet snails? do you name them? can you even tell them apart? so you have little trails of slime all over your house? don't step on them, i foresee massive guilt if you do.... i see your snails read really boring books, that's typical... hehe great shot of 'the brood' :)
6 Mar 2011 9:47am
@Elaine-: I did start to give them numbers, Elaine, but they ate those . . and, no, only one casualty who fell from a height in the studio and cracked his shell. Luckily, he sprayed it with some glue-bubble-stuff and went on a hi-calcium diet for a month and is now fine ! They are, actually, quite an entertainment once y'get to know them. (Ronnie)
we all know "the mills of justice grind slowly", but as slowly as snails? come on, you can do better! great closeup of your pets, including the lettuce leaf, and funny words - as usual!
6 Mar 2011 11:28am
@Franz: Thanx, Franz !
I suspect that is about the pace one would need to go, however, to understand those regulations! They're working as fast as they can.
6 Mar 2011 11:45am
@António Pires: Indeed . . and no end to the learning !
@Goddess: AM3 was "sluggish" earlier today . . seems fine later . .
They will not be speeding ! A little family very quiet on this writing diagonally ! :o)
6 Mar 2011 4:56pm
Love these legal snails, I am going to have a dilemma now with the next snail I find in the garden!
6 Mar 2011 5:31pm
Wonderful concept on Snails and Justice ... You have already plenty of out lines for next episodes ... Great work. Lot of fun and knowledge. Love it. Well done, Ronnie ! :)
6 Mar 2011 5:46pm
Hail the snails! Talk about legal workflow. And Lily's odd syntax ;p.
6 Mar 2011 5:48pm
Hehe look at all those baby snails!
6 Mar 2011 5:52pm
@¨‘°ºO Dutçh Oº°‘¨: Cute, huh ?! They move surprisingly fast for their size, too ! (Ronnie)
Don't worry Lilly litigation always travels at a snails pace, though it's going to cost a bob or two to turn that building up the right way again. Ronnie those two large ones look just about ready for a bit of garlic butter.
6 Mar 2011 6:24pm
@grouser: ha ha . . I nearly choked on my half-pint of winkles, Grouser ! (Ronnie)
103 snails for this photograph - wow! Ronnie, how does it feel to be part of 'their' collection - lol!
6 Mar 2011 7:56pm
Superb ! Sure no rush but the small one looks a little curious !
6 Mar 2011 9:31pm
'A second brood...' Are you supplying London's restaurant's Ronnie ?This is a great sharp image, and good to see mum & dad reading the traffic regulations.
6 Mar 2011 9:53pm
Ah they are so darned cute! Exercise is good for snails. Help them keep their figures. : )
Great shot - and I'm just in love the little ones - well - the big ones too actually.
6 Mar 2011 11:05pm
@Becky: Smiles . . they really are nice to get to know and surprisingly complex ! (Ronnie)
@DowsherVision: Thanx, guys !
Where did you get these lovely worms?! Cool!
7 Mar 2011 5:31am
@flyingwind风飞扬: I managed to find the original three in December - which I now know was difficult because they are seldom active in cold weather. The rest, as they say, is biological history ! (Ronnie)
And when they've grown, what then? Is it proper to eat your pets?
7 Mar 2011 5:38am
@Krisu: Well, I've never eaten a snail and I sure won't be starting with these . . how could I look them in the eye ?! (Ronnie)
The house on the left side is vacant?! ;) If you watch carefully Ronnie, you can see those snails grow :) I like your pets Ronnie, hope Lilly doesn't have a hedgehog crawling around!
7 Mar 2011 6:22am
@Monique: Oh, I can see them grow, Monique : already, those tiny ones are noticeably bigger than they are in this pic ! (Ronnie)
Great image and very interesting info! Best regards, Andrei.
7 Mar 2011 6:38am
more snails, huh? what will you do with them all (besides photograph)?
7 Mar 2011 8:08am
@marci: In the warmer weather, I shall return them to the wild . . keep, perhaps, just six ! (Ronnie)
I love snails and I love these ones. Great background ^^
7 Mar 2011 8:52am
@kitty: hee hee . . thanks, Kitty - they are so cute, yes ? (Ronnie)
Love your snails tales - and the light here is just fab along with the compo !
7 Mar 2011 10:08am
@k@: Thanks, Karine. Natural light in the kitchen . . they do get a bit anxious when taken into there ! (Ronnie)
Great to see the new brood of snails! They must be faster than the rusted machinery of the legal process!
7 Mar 2011 12:33pm
@Stephen: yeah, too right !! Thanks, Stephen.
Congratulations! You're a grandpa!
Amazing tales of snails, and very interesting. To hear they grow so fast, I never knew.
At first I assumed this a story about emissions control from snails and thought what is this world coming too.
One thing for certain, Ronnie brings everything home.
7 Mar 2011 1:22pm
So cute. I need to get some snails, just to put our local newspapers into proper context.
7 Mar 2011 2:14pm
Is this a 3 generation shot ? love the light here.
7 Mar 2011 2:30pm
@ripple: No, not three generations just one parent with examples from the two 'litters' since Christmas. No wonder the old dear is sleeping ! (Ronnie)
I couldn't have snails as pets...they are too delicious.
7 Mar 2011 2:50pm
Great shot. I am quite amazed at the baby snails. I never really considered that they have babies. That looks like one big happy family about your eat your law book.
7 Mar 2011 3:02pm
@Bettina: They do seem very happy . . I left the lid of their enclosure open all night on one occasion and they did not bother to try 'escape'. Having found someone to feed them fresh salad, banana and carrot each day, they are not so stupid as to make a run for it ! (Ronnie)
The family Snail has a very intellectual grounding.
7 Mar 2011 4:00pm
Nothing like a new batch of snail babies....these just brightened my day!
7 Mar 2011 4:45pm
Nice post and story !
I like a lot your image too.
7 Mar 2011 5:13pm
Oh my, Ronnie! You seem to have a full-fledged snail farm going there. They do make interesting subjects.
7 Mar 2011 5:52pm
They seem to be very cool to read the minutes of the accident there for long, see you tomorrow :)) Good day.
7 Mar 2011 5:55pm
Wonderful and Creative shot; interesting on their growth!
7 Mar 2011 7:03pm
yeah, i think, they have a lot of time to read the newspaper!
beautiful compo!
7 Mar 2011 7:06pm
terrific. fine capture. neat title
7 Mar 2011 7:48pm
Are these "common" garden snails you are keeping as pets??
I think the winter is taking its toll...
7 Mar 2011 8:30pm
@✿ Anina ✿: Yes, these are from the garden and the original three were collected back in December.
Wow!. Excellent details of the little snails.
7 Mar 2011 8:53pm
If only that car traveled at a snail's pace. ;-) I am intrigued by someone who has snails. It's interesting to see this "family" develop.
8 Mar 2011 1:33am
@Steven: I tell you, I expected things to happen real slow in the snail world but that's just from a myth the snails put out, Steven ! (Rushed Ronnie)
composition originale ! Je te souhaite une agréable journée
JP
8 Mar 2011 8:01am
Rememered me the Zymurgy's law: "Once you open a can of worms, the only way to recan them is to use a larger can"... Don't exercise them too hard :)
8 Mar 2011 9:32am
@Vaido: ha ha . . that's a new one to me and so, so true ! Thanks, Vaido. (Ronnie)
@Paco Díaz: Thank you, friend - enjoy your day ! (Ronnie)
Hahaha... this is great ! It reminds me of a photo I took (a snail on a watch) for a contest... I'll post it one of these days. Anyway, it's really well done. Have a lovely day :)
8 Mar 2011 11:19am
Another super refreshing and joyful portraiture of this lovely family! How cute are the little ones! Must be fun and gratifying to raise them and see them grow! Thanks for the delightful update!:-)
8 Mar 2011 1:09pm
@hugo poon: Strange as it may sound, yes, they are a fascinating study, Hugo ! (Ronnie)
Is unusual to find ©O2S 2011 instead of the L and R in the picture ...
however take care of the little family ...
8 Mar 2011 2:26pm
@CAAZ: ha ha ha . . yes, Lilly does not want to be associated with my snails ! (Ronnie)
sluggish?!! I don't think so ! .. one of my compatriots in AM3, tells me that the hosting server of images in AM3 is filtering in our country :( :((((((((((((((( I'm so sad about this happening and we (Iranian people) cant see Images on AM3 anymore :( :-<
8 Mar 2011 4:04pm
@Goddess: This is very sad news if it proves to be true . . I know there are over 1,000 AM3'ers based in Iran and this would be a great disappointment. (Ronnie)
Congratz on the Color Spotlight on this happy snail family:-))
8 Mar 2011 7:14pm
@Marleen: Oh, my, look at that !! Thanks, Marleen - they will be demanding extra lettuce for this ! (Ronnie)
It looks like I'm not the only one to have been awarded a spotlight ;) CONGRATULATIONS
8 Mar 2011 8:00pm
@Gilles: yay !! Congrats all round !! (Lilly and Ronnie)
Is it wrong that my first thought was "Mmm... tasty..."?
8 Mar 2011 10:50pm
@Daryl Johnson: Pass the salt, please, Daryl (from Lilly)
I was wondering how was going your snail livestock, I can see many young ones. May be salads would not be enough and they might be interested by your books, be careful about their damages. I feel that Lilly is a bit anxious for the articles concerning her car...
9 Mar 2011 12:46am
@akarui: I think you are right on all those concerns, Akarui . . one snail found his way to the kitchen overnight - not sure if it was hunger or self-sacrifice ! (Fearful Ronnie)
@Steve Rice: Thanks, Steve !
These guys have earned you a place in the Color Spotlight :) Congrats!
9 Mar 2011 6:14am
@Monique: Yay - extra lettuce today !!
@Tede: Thanks, Tede !
Has Arlo met the snails? Could be an interesting encounter.
9 Mar 2011 7:58am
@Mike Baker: Now, there's a thought . . . as long as he does not sprout any leaves, the meet should run smoothly ! Thanks, Mike ! (Ronnie)
Lovely snail family photo! They're really growing and moving fast, ignoring all the traffic rules and regulation! :D
9 Mar 2011 11:16am
Um... OK, why am I not surprised that you would be hatching snails???? LOL
9 Mar 2011 2:49pm

@✿ Anina ✿: Thanks, Anina !
There's obviously a common gene shared by snails and rabbits - though these are a lot easier to feed! Just love your title and the narrative!
15 Mar 2011 7:02pm
@sien: Thanks, Sien - the little ones in this are now long full-grown and have left for the Big World ! (Ronnie)
@KatieCat: Oh, really ? As you see here, I keep them as 'pets' ! They are wonderful to get to know. (Ronnie)
