Lily : Did you find the shoe hospital I was telling you about ?
Ronnie : Yes. No hope on the shoes but they gave me a job and a badge !
Lilly : Oh, well, first things first, I suppose.

Excellent dialogue and subtle irony ... as always leave me amazed. You're a great artist ... Should write a book bringing together every one of your images and texts ... I will buy one without hesitation or just a second ...Congratulations again dear friend! A hug, Adela
25 Jul 2011 9:49am
@Adela Fonts: Thank you, Adela - enjoy your day ! (Ronnie)
Hilarous. Do they have an extra position for me?
25 Jul 2011 11:00am
With this level of jocularity on a Monday, I can't wait to see what Silly Tuesday is going to bring! Well seen and captured Ronnie! ;-))
25 Jul 2011 11:28am
Holy! What a find, a shoe hospital - "Gene"-ous!!! (not sure if I'll bring my shoes there... sorry to hear about your shoes, Ronnie!)
I'm with Adela (I'll surely be one of the first to buy your book) and K@ (sky's the limit to your creativity and imagination)!!!!
25 Jul 2011 1:55pm
@Photographs by M.E.: Thanks for your kindness, Maria. Appreciated. (Lilly and Ronnie)
That's wildly imaginative and funny! Sometimes one has to wonder where do you come up with this? Is it the sign that spurred the imagination? Great work!
25 Jul 2011 3:21pm
@Bettina: Yes, Lilly saw the sign someplace on her travels and thought it was a 'possible' ! (Ronnie)
Terrific! I love Kitty's comment.
25 Jul 2011 3:28pm
Give it up Ronny, it's a sole destroying job!
25 Jul 2011 3:44pm

25 Jul 2011 3:44pm

25 Jul 2011 4:09pm
@RBL: Thank you !!
I feel a heel
for saying it but it looks like the nails went right through the shoe and into the hoof
25 Jul 2011 5:03pm
LOL! I think those shoes need a plastic surgeon :) !
25 Jul 2011 5:15pm

@Nicou: ha ha. . Oui, les ampoules à coup sûr ! (Ronnie)
This is great! Well, at least its a job but it puts a lot of weight on the poor shoe!
25 Jul 2011 5:54pm
LOL! Thanks for the laugh. I've heard services are picking up after the shoes have been all tied up.
25 Jul 2011 7:25pm
i hope all goes well with the right shoe! it seems to be on the road of recovery ... ;-))
25 Jul 2011 10:05pm
That's a nice little job Ronnie, perhaps you could do a Tap dance to attract more sick shoes. BTW I have some old wooden clogs with woodworm.... any chance of a repair ?
25 Jul 2011 10:05pm
Jobs are hard to come by these days. Way to go.
25 Jul 2011 11:14pm
Great story! Love this again, Ronnie! A wonderful composition and artistic presentation!!!
25 Jul 2011 11:39pm
@Wild Mustang Photography: When I saw the shoe hospital sign, I knew Ronnie could match it with his horrible shoes!!! (from Lilly)
Its an irony they couldn't mend your shoes but a job and badge in exchange is not a bad deal!
26 Jul 2011 12:04am
Lucky Ronnie, you will be able to buy a new pair at the end of the month...
In Japan people holding sign is a common job, for example just to say that the car parking is full.
26 Jul 2011 12:26am
@Akaruiphoto: Yes, I remember back in the days of an Asahi Pentax S1a (!), a guy who walked around London with a sign saying "The End Is Nigh". He was probably right and it all ended without my noticing. (Ronnie)
A fun and innovative idea. I absolutely love the part located below the sign. Color and material of the pants worn, the color of the shoes, the color and the way the dressing is on the left shoe. With color and texture of the soil is particularly beautiful.
26 Jul 2011 6:00am
Ronnie you're the best, your stories are great :)) Good day.
26 Jul 2011 10:04am
Glad you get a badge cos those shoes have no hope at all.
26 Jul 2011 10:24am
A very funny episode today! That bandaged foot is hilarious! Nice job of thinking this up…and making a fine picture of it.
26 Jul 2011 2:46pm
A shoe hospital! How ingenious is that? Hopefully they are working on a solution for the shoes Ronnie.
26 Jul 2011 3:24pm
Hahaha... A shoe hospital... Why not :) Great find ! Happy ST :)

There is a market for everything! Thanks for the good laugh.
27 Jul 2011 1:08am
Excellent. Another wonderful story. Now that you have a job isn't Lilly entitled to a certain percentage of your pay for her shopping? haha Especially since it was she who suggested you the place :P Have a good day Ronnie, cheers!
27 Jul 2011 2:39am
@Nitin: Although for Lilly this was just a drive-by shot, that place is for real and doing a fine job. I'm sure ! Thanks, Nitin ! (Ronnie)
Oh that poor shoe! : ) HA! Thank goodness there's a shoe hospital!! Glad ya got yourself an official badge and all. Wonderful ... as usual.
27 Jul 2011 4:20am
@Becky: I'm proud of that badge, Becky. It is not my badge but one they had left over from a previous employee. But I feel I am at last 'Somebody' . . even if I do not know who. (Ronnie Somebody)

27 Jul 2011 7:53am

I'm still off but be back very sOOn now. ;-)
27 Jul 2011 9:08am
@Florence: Hi, Florence. Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe out there. (Ronnie)

27 Jul 2011 11:26am
Very funny! I hope my shoes won't need to go to hospital !!!
27 Jul 2011 11:37am
I've been back to your page loads of times, and couldn't quite find the phrase I wanted to use. Your images can never be degraded by "Nice composition", or "Lovely colours" that would be an insult, so, finally, after a couple of days of racking my addled brain, all I can come up with is "you've shoed in a soulful shot, not shoddy at all" - oh dear ;-(
27 Jul 2011 1:20pm
@CElliottUK: ha ha . . nice try and, yes, it is a constant pleasure to us that the Comments here are as out-of-the-ordinary as we try make our postings. Big thanks to everyone for that. (Lilly and Ronnie)
Great idea. Amazing presentation ... Ronnie is a great soul ...
And so innocent that he is proud of the badge ... Excellent :)

Ha! I wonder if they take my medical plan ....
27 Jul 2011 11:32pm

28 Jul 2011 4:40am

29 Jul 2011 4:25am
You got a job, finally! (I must say I was worried about you!) Now I hope you'll be able to keep standing on your feet and advertise the hospital....with or without shoes (?)
29 Jul 2011 11:09am
You two just string us along until our tongues are hanging out. Quick, call 911 and get them to take you to a "pants hospital", then you will be in business.
30 Jul 2011 1:20pm
Hey, who needs insurance when you can work your way through surgery. Kind of like doing dishes for your dinner. A fantastic notion for revamping our healthcare systems ;p.
30 Jul 2011 9:50pm
@Dana: An answer can be found for everything at OurTwoSense, Dana !! (Ronnie)
Too funny! The pants go well with the shoes. Reminds me of the days when shoes could actually be resoled, many times! I miss that.
31 Jul 2011 10:32pm
Who would have thought? And here I thought, with the way the world is so disposable these days, this practice would be a lost art ;-)
Too funny.
1 Aug 2011 4:56am
great shot. Enjoy the new job ; ) - hopefully research will find a solution for the shoe.
