Lilly : I often pass this pizza joint but the figure outside offers such a bare-looking product, y'know?
Ronnie : 'Arlo's Pizza' supplies every topping imaginable. Home delivery, Fire Dept. Approved, Lilly.
Lilly : I don't want anchovies but it does look good ! Arlo must know those Fire Department guys real well.

Well if Heston Blementhal can make snail ice cream, why couldn't Arlo make money out of Pizza Acciughe in una scatola metallica?
1 Aug 2011 6:26am
@CElliottUK: Guy in Sainsbury's told me they breed in those metal boxes, Chris. Not sure I believed him. (Ronnie)
what are FD guys ? (Arlo's pizza is very appetizing !)
1 Aug 2011 6:55am
@Veronique: FD = Fire Department for Lilly although I'd call it the FB, Fire Brigade, here. Someone once said we are two nations divided by a common language. (Ronnie)
(Ronnie)
Yes the combination of a wood fired pizza oven and Arlo is rather disturbing if not to say inflammatory
1 Aug 2011 8:44am
@grouser: Smiles, we did have a few laughs over that ourselves while imagining this one . . thanks, Mr Grouser. (L&R)
what a delicious idea :D , like the style of Arlo :)
1 Aug 2011 8:48am
Extraordinary collage Ronnie ! Love it. Lovely cartoon mood with the presence of this friendly "Chief". It makes me think of Ratatouille. And beeing a fan of italian food (and more precisely "pizze"), I really adore this one of course.
4 stars for you.
Where is your adress ? I bring a bottle of Chianti. ;-)
1 Aug 2011 9:57am
@Florence: . . I'm still a little sleepy here . . but did I see something about a bottle of Chianti ? . . hee hee . . I'll send you a map immediately ! (Ronnie)
Yummy... pizza :) Great composition ! Have a lovely day :)
1 Aug 2011 10:46am
FD? I do not understand ... but the picture is excellent and the dialogue so true ... There are pizzas that look scary desert. The Ronnie is extraordinary ... I would eat one with anchovies after all ... A hug, Adela
1 Aug 2011 11:11am
Ha! That's what I call Pizza with the lot - or from the Arlo oven - the Red Hot Chilli Pepper special!
1 Aug 2011 11:19am
wunderbare Farben und gute Schärfe.
Ronnie das war kein Derwisch. War bei einem Theaterstück auf einer Freilichtbühne in meiner Stadt.
Viele Grüße Heinz
1 Aug 2011 11:23am
Arlo needs to give the other guy a lesson in making pizza! Now this really is a combination pizza isn't it ^^
1 Aug 2011 12:05pm
There might be a mistake in timing to put the anchovies and the tomatoes (unless it is hot pepper ?) but Arlo's pizza looks good but reading your comment he is using lot's of chilli...
1 Aug 2011 12:12pm
@Florence: I'll drink to that ! (Ronnie-the-Unsteady)
my head wants a pizza but my stomach is turning over haha, love the shot of the great chef arlo :)
1 Aug 2011 12:47pm
Sure, a pizza cooked in a wood fired oven should be an Arlo's speciality.
1 Aug 2011 1:00pm
@António Pires: ha ha . . yes, Arlo does like to take risks ! Enjoy the week, Antonio ! (Lilly and Ronnie)
This pizza looks to be missing only the kitchen sink! Cooked in a wood fired oven would be wonderous! ;-))
1 Aug 2011 1:19pm
@Eric Cousineau: smiles . . 'wood-fired', huh ?!
Arlo, you are a Chef, too! Wow!!! I'll have a slice without the anchovies...
Lilly & Ronnie - this is a delicious image! Congratulations!!!
PS: with Arlo's natural attraction to matches and the likes, he better be good friends with the Fire Department.
1 Aug 2011 1:51pm
Just for the styling of the anchovies I would try one! Compliments Arlo!
1 Aug 2011 2:16pm
Une belle pizza superbe quel image quel travail superbe tu nous met l'eau à la bouche
1 Aug 2011 2:24pm
@Nicou: Merci, Nicou. (L&R)
I am guessing that Arlo has his matches handy in his apron pocket?!!
1 Aug 2011 2:35pm
@Tracy: Highly likely, Tracy . . always ready with the matches !
Beautiful work! This is brilliantly done and funny as always. You better be baking lots of cakes for those firemen.
1 Aug 2011 2:42pm
It's pretty entertaining to see Arlo getting so serious... though he seems to be treating this more like a work of art than a pizza! Are you sure this is edible?!:-) Thanks for treat anyway. Have a great day!
1 Aug 2011 2:49pm
Yeah, the anchovies don't look so appealing to me either. Do you trust Arlo to make deliveries? Cute hat, btw.
1 Aug 2011 3:05pm
That certainly looks like the Ultimate Deluxe pizza! Arlo knows pizza!
1 Aug 2011 3:07pm
Mmmmm... I just made pizza a few days ago, but definitely not with anchovies. And I don't think mine are FD-approved!
1 Aug 2011 3:21pm
Do they do do Haddock instead of anchovy? With a few chips and vinegar please?
1 Aug 2011 3:26pm
@Curly: ha ha . . I like a touch of the tatare sauce, myself ! (Ronnie)
and did you ask the two figurines before taking the picture?
1 Aug 2011 3:33pm
@Nathanael: We did ask but Lilly's guy was a bit stone-faced (or, stone baked ?) about it. Arlo was fine but never likes to talk about the wood-burning oven and we never press it ! (L&R)
I don't mind a little anchovy from time to time. That pizza is loaded up, as is Lilly's closing observation about Arlo knowing the Fire Department guys well.
1 Aug 2011 3:38pm
Beautiful processing and composition! I tend to be a traditionalist when it comes to pizza toppings. No anchovies for me.
1 Aug 2011 7:30pm
@yz: Yes ! With the anchovy topping-kit !
Hmm - I'd definitely enjoy that pizza, but not sure that it would be safe to let Arlo near the pizza oven .
1 Aug 2011 8:48pm
Looks good. All that isn't there is the kitchen sink.
1 Aug 2011 8:54pm
I love pizza, but without the fishy things :0 I hope Arlo doesn't get to close to the oven... I mean, burning embers and the Fire Dept would really be around.
1 Aug 2011 8:55pm
I'm with Lilly, hold the anchovies! Great composition.
2 Aug 2011 4:21am
We don't find Arlo doing anything half way! I have the feeling this is the only pizza on his menu - like it or not, these are your toppings! Ta-da! Clearly a master of the culinary arts.
2 Aug 2011 5:44am
that pizza has absolutely everything!
2 Aug 2011 5:49am
@Chris Pereira: You have suddenly reminded me that. years ago, a neighbor's (then) little girl put a store-bought pizza in the oven with the polystyrene disk still under it. Was certainly different ! (Ronnie)
Haha, minus the anchovies, arlo's pizza definitely wins hands down:)
2 Aug 2011 6:35am
Jolie composition ! Je te souhaite une agréable journée
JP
2 Aug 2011 7:10am
@jpla: Profitez de la semaine, JP. Nous vous remercions de votre visite. (L&R)
Funny one! I'd take out the anchovies from the can :))
2 Aug 2011 7:25am
@Paco Díaz: Good thinking, Francisco ! Have a great day, my friend. (Ronnie)
Wonderful composition...like the new caracter...Great.
2 Aug 2011 8:45am
Bon Appétit!
at least Arlo's pizza presentation has something very personal
2 Aug 2011 10:35am
Really a pizza on fire this is :) So much on it - its like a hot pot pizza with all things possible. I must confess I don't like that open can with that octopus-like thingy crawling out :P Haha good luck to Arlo! :)
2 Aug 2011 10:56am
Surely there is a pizza midpoint between these two options! When my husband, son and I go out for pizza, we each get something different. One of the joys of pizza.
2 Aug 2011 12:24pm
All ingredients are fresh ... the can is just opened now, and has not yet reached the expiry date!!
2 Aug 2011 2:32pm
A really tasty pizza, Arlo is a great cook :)) Good day.
2 Aug 2011 2:38pm
A good one. I don't like anchovies either. Nice combination of elements in this image.
2 Aug 2011 3:05pm
this is definitely one strange looking pizza, tin and all! i side with lilly on this one, i must say!
2 Aug 2011 6:50pm
A wonderful shot as usual...but today I'm noticing that Arlo has an outfit for every occasion. No matter what situation you throw him into he has something appropriate in his wardrobe to fit the image !! :-)
2 Aug 2011 10:07pm
@DULCIE: Thanks, Dulcie - yes, he does seem to have a growing wardrobe of outfits. I guess it goes with him trying so many different pursuits ! (Ronnie)
Is this another of Arlo's half baked ideas???
3 Aug 2011 2:06am
@B. Thomas: lol . . what have we done to you all out there ?!! Thanks, Barbara. (Ronnie)
Arlo tries so hard. I think we should cut him a little slack. Otherwise, he might develop a wooden personality.
3 Aug 2011 3:29am
@Steve Rice: I'd rather he were wooden than suddenly flaring up ! (Ronnie)
One of Aminus3 artists (Mehdi Rasoulof who was my cousin), has died in a car accident...

@Saeed Rasoulof: Indeed, a sad loss and for one so young . . . thank you for letting us know, Saeed. (Lilly and Ronnie)
I smile at the smell indoors after this excellent set-up (love the light) !
3 Aug 2011 8:44am
@k@: Thamk you. You remind me of the lighting - the flash was bounced off my kitchen ceiling and we added blue into the shadows to give an 'outdoor' feeling for some reason ! (Ronnie)
I'm not found of anchovies ... but ok for the rest of the pizza. Is it Arlo's summer job ? :D
3 Aug 2011 9:07am
@Gilles: Not full-time. On Wednesdays, he does the brain surgery and he is always available for fire-fighting and fire-raising. (Ronnie)
looks like all these stuff I have right now on table ... :) cool shot .
3 Aug 2011 6:09pm
@Mariana M.: Go for it, Mariana - this is no time to be cautious ! (Ronnie)
Good photo. Even the metal looks tasty. I wouldnt mind a pizza now.
3 Aug 2011 8:05pm
Nice shot ! It looks like a delicious pizza ! but I agree with Lilly : no anchovies ; )
3 Aug 2011 8:35pm
Oh,dear! It looks so good! Wow! Got to call the shop! Badly in need of delivery....Fire Dept can come later...
5 Aug 2011 7:58am
so that's a worldwide phenomenon - anchovies on pizza, huh? who eats that stuff?!
6 Aug 2011 12:30am
you creation are still very fun and creative and give .. appetite ! i will take a beer too :-)))
10 Aug 2011 2:47am
oh my,,,anchovies topping I haven't tried..should be yummy, a recipe from Arlo :)
Wonderful creativity, Ronnie and Lilly! 5*
