Lilly has great expectations but you seem to have fallen on hard times if even bleak house is too upmarket for you. How delightfully Dickensian we are all becoming now the toffs are back in charge :)

Thanks for the invitation. I have to decline as I'm washing my hair that day, but I'm sure the after dinner speakers presentation on "The perils of facultative anaerobic bacteria, such as Salmonella" will be listened to with rapt attention.

I would assume that with such obviously faux "down market" signage and decor, this place is actually a Michelin rated gastronomic heaven. They'll be lining up around the block in no time, with purposely dirty hands and their credit cards at the ready. What fun!
