Lilly : Tell me, if you had to, could you build one of these shelters in the woods ?
Ronnie : Of course - I have a fine example in the early-Elizabethan style right here .
Lilly : I'm dumbstruck, Ronnie. Lost for words. Does it have Internet access and an indoor toilet ?

Lilly : Ronnie, why is Arlo interfering with the image ?
Ronnie : He said he was going to make it more dynamic . . or did he say 'Demonic' ?
Lilly : !!

@Julie L. Brown: Arlo !! I did let him assist with pinning up these images . . hammer and nails, no gas jet ! (Ronnie)

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

Fashion in arts is repetitive, therefore we might come across this kind of abode (L) in the future. Why not? But.....I still wonder IF there is going to be enough wood left....in the future (?)

12 Apr 2012 10:39am

@Japanalia: Is there enough Future left, Gabriela . . that's the pressing question. (Ronnie)

Haha! Very fun! I remember trying to build structures like those to 'live' in when I was little!

12 Apr 2012 3:31pm

B. Thomas from Arlington, Texas, United States

These early-Elizabethan structures can be so damp and drafty. I especially like the gable, and the geometric design. The tower does not seem quiet tall enough but I'm sure it is fine. Do you call it "Ronnie House", or perhaps "Ronnie Hall"? I hope you plan to add a couple of wings soon.

12 Apr 2012 3:43pm

@B. Thomas: ha ha . . you are sounding like a realtor giving me the big build-up ! (Ronnie)

13 Apr 2012 10:25pm

@Iris: Thanks, Iris. We were going to change this image each day of the 4-day 'Posting' but, in making the images, we found they needed to be 'backward compatible' so we chose the one follow-up we liked best and left it at that ! Arlo enjoyed it, anyway. (Lilly and Ronnie)

CElliottUK from Reading, United Kingdom

I think you'll find that EU building regulations , eubr.9-213-78-4, require a roof pitch of 32 degrees, you will need to take it down, unless of course, you are claiming that it's a chalet style dwelling, when , under eubr-9-213-71-4, the angle of the roof can be 27 degrees, so you need to pull it down, and anyway under local planning consent plc a-erg-213subsection 21, you need to pull it down. The only exception to this is if you are a member of parliament, in which case, you need to fill out expenses claim form fidl-101-(b)

15 Apr 2012 5:25am

@CElliottUK: I have taken advice on this and it is proposed to challenge the application of each of these subsections of the European Directive on grounds of my having attended day-school with a member of the Chickasaw branch of the Indian Nations for the minimum period of five consecutive days prior to 1973. The tribe is noted for their advanced culture and were formally allied with the English during colonial times. Ben Nighthorse Campbell, representing the State of Colorado-in-London, will be acting for me. (Ronnie-Advised)

@Anita: I know what you mean, Anita. When we started this photoblog way back, we were determined to break free from the 'love the colors' type of Comment - even if it was well-meant. A lotta tears of joy and sorrow have dropped onto keyboards since then ! (Ronnie)
