@Doug: Wise man. (Ronnie)
Je crois que je vais aller manger ailleurs, ce restaurant ne m'inspire pas confiance :) Bonne journée.
4 Oct 2012 6:47am
what do you mean with a face in a bag ? a cut head ?
4 Oct 2012 6:56am
@Veronique: . . he's looking at you, Veronique . . little pointed nose and big ears . . (Ronnie)
I think I have to choose another restaurant....
4 Oct 2012 7:07am
@❀ Yvonne Simons ❀: Subsidized medical care with every meal here, Yvonne ! (Ronnie)
Ha now that she says it, i can see the face too ;) Oh this is so rich again at every level, image (so many crispy joyful details) & words. You win, always.
4 Oct 2012 7:11am
@k@: Squeeeeak ! (Ronnie)
4 Oct 2012 8:09am
I'll go hungry, the face can have my share. This is brilliant :)
4 Oct 2012 9:01am
quite hilarious again, but not so far from reality in some places that i've seen on my travels ... ;-)
here the old (but good) pun certainly applies: "waiter, what do you recommend?" - "a different restaurant, sir!"
4 Oct 2012 9:03am
@franz: ha ha . . I can tell you are well-traveled ! (Ronnie)
Brilliant - a totally surreal image. I think whatever was in that bag has already eaten Ronnie's sandwich!
4 Oct 2012 9:14am
Some people are so picky ................ ;-))
4 Oct 2012 9:22am
I always enjoye from your nice conversation and your beautiful photos
4 Oct 2012 9:36am
@SalSa: Thank you, Sahar, for your kind words - and for your visits ! ( Lilly and Ronnie )
Sandwiches are very good to eat when we are hungry. They have the best of it, that ain imagination may be the limit, when the designs on them.
4 Oct 2012 9:39am
@Jypyä Pop: Stay on this floor, Jypyä Pop . . it is not worth the risk ! (Ronnie)
Un escalier peu engageant mais c'est un régal visuel! Bravo..! ;-)
4 Oct 2012 10:24am
@Monik: Oui, festin visuel seulement, s'il vous plaît ! (Ronnie)
Sometimes you have to "earn" the meal, I suppose. Intestinal fortitude and all that... what a great collaborative visual !
4 Oct 2012 10:41am
@Rick: " Intestinal fortitude" . . I think I've developed that, Rick ! (Ronnie)
This is one of the problems with some sandwich shops, they fail to put sufficient sauce in with the mice meat and droppings, hence half the ingredients fall out of the bun when people are biting into them.
This must still be a popular shop as evidenced by the number of people using the tables and chairs upstairs, just wish they wouldn't chew as they go, or at least attempt to catch the crumbs in the bag!
4 Oct 2012 12:43pm
@Curly: . . 'droppings' . . that will look attractive on the menu, Curly. (Ronnie)
Oh my! I think I have eaten in some restaurants that have kitchens that must look like this! (I figure it keeps my immune system in tip-top shape!)
4 Oct 2012 12:46pm
@Tracy: You remind me of a favorite eatery where we had to exit thru the kitchens due to a small fire out front. I never went back !! (Ronnie)
Hey, I'd eat down there....he he. I'll settle for a sandwich!! Thanks for the giggle this am...needed it! : )
4 Oct 2012 12:49pm
It is not today that we go to the restaurant together.
4 Oct 2012 12:52pm
This time...you HIT it, Ronnie! Twenty years ago, going to a restaurant still felt like a party! Not anymore at present! There is such a WIDE variety when it comes to sandwiches, you never know what to choose and if you do, you never EXACTLY know what you eat! And...all the time...everything gets ever more expensive !!!!!
4 Oct 2012 2:16pm
@Japanalia: Despite all the 'progress', some things in Life never seem to change for the better, Gabriela : 'tis the way. (Ronnie)
I thought we were in deep austerity down here. I've to change my mind, I guess.
4 Oct 2012 2:24pm
I am enjoying all of your conversations...:-) nice image.
4 Oct 2012 2:42pm

4 Oct 2012 3:28pm
I'll have what Doug is having. :-) "After-effects"???? Does this involve Pepto-Bismol?
4 Oct 2012 4:43pm
@Steven: Last I heard, he was having convulsions, Steven. They are offering 2-for-1 to the paramedics. (Ronnie)
If there is something alive, it means that all of ingredients are fresh!
4 Oct 2012 5:59pm
@El pare: Something tells me you are comfortable writing about food, Manel . . smiles . . (Ronnie)
They really do need to do something about the after effects of the re-fried beans, cabbage and egg salsa salad. The odiferous effect on the clients digestion is corroding the paint and causing the mortar to crumble. But at least it's cut down on the cockroach and rat population.
4 Oct 2012 6:28pm
@CElliottUK: Pest Control were using the premises for Work Experience training programs, Chris . . until H&S called in the Biological Warfare people last week. (Ronnie)
but isnt' the stairs in a mess? :D hehehe... great photo!
4 Oct 2012 7:38pm
Has Arlo been visiting that place in Lilly's photo? There is a restaurant nearby where I live called RATS (seriously) and I think your sandwich may have come from there.
4 Oct 2012 7:42pm
@Ruthiebear: It is possible it walked from there by itself, Ruthie. (Ronnie)
oh Rommie the mouse ate the sandwich.
as always you are the most creative
4 Oct 2012 7:58pm

@Aly: Y'd make a good Food Inspector, Aly ! ( from Lilly )
Not Arlo's take on a 'theme' restaurant then?
4 Oct 2012 9:15pm
It looks like there might be more than one face in the bag. At any rate, I hope it was a cheap meal!
4 Oct 2012 10:24pm
@Elaine Hancock: Cheap can sometimes have a hidden cost, Elaine . . . (Ronnie)
Why in the world cement up a stairway, unless you are Sarah Winchester which you must google if you have never heard of her. You do find the most extraordinary scenes. The mouse face rules this one.
4 Oct 2012 10:40pm
Haha, very funny and scary at the same time ... after watching a few shows of "Kitchen Nightmares" ... we didn't eat out for a long time :) Great set of photos!
5 Oct 2012 12:01am

5 Oct 2012 9:54am
Would you like a little Hanta Virus with that "to go" order?
5 Oct 2012 10:12am
@Julie L. Brown: Is the full Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome available or do I have to pre-order ? (Ronnie)
@Jules: Arlo was the last to leave each time fire broke out . . He was hailed as a hero - at the Correction Facility, that is. But that's burned down, now. (Ronnie)
Ah ...tis steps are beautiful to photograph but for going down ...it's a problem !! Great composiiton !
5 Oct 2012 12:53pm
Ohhh, So THAT'S what they sprinkle on those desert pastries to give them such a unique, piquant flavour!! And, here I always thought it was confectioner's sugar with a dash of pepper! ...A Masterpiece You Two...(or, as they say in New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania: "Youze Two!")
5 Oct 2012 12:58pm
@Denny Jump Photo: ha ha . . nice one, Denny . . I'll go try practice that accent on some folks around here in London ! (Ronnie)
Not a very inviting place! Great find and humour!!!
5 Oct 2012 1:04pm
