Ronnie : I don't seem to have the weight for it, Lilly . . the grapes just won't give.
Lilly : Oh, what a wimp . . you need a stiff drink, Ronnie.

Looks like the grapes of wrath to me. Are you writing a book, Ronnie?
1 Jul 2013 5:13am
@B. Thomas: As a winemaker, I'd make a good author, I think ! (Ronnie)
Ronnie wine is very good, but this would probably not taste to me .. :))
1 Jul 2013 5:42am

1 Jul 2013 6:33am
Wonderfully humourous!
I will definitely not come for a glass of wine at your place .............. ;-)
1 Jul 2013 6:41am
quand le vin est pressé il faut le boire - when the wine is pressed, it must be drunk
1 Jul 2013 6:42am
If you don't mind I'll skip the wine, this made me lol when it opened on screen.

@eligreg: Thank you, friend - have a great week, too !! (Lilly and Ronnie)
1 Jul 2013 10:20am
@véronique cherpantier: The inscription is "LEFT" - de gauche !! (Ronnie)
@Jules: Oh, yes, gave them a good soaking after the wine-making, Jules . . (Ronnie)
Looks like you are not doing it right with your left!
1 Jul 2013 11:30am

What a hilarious post! I know what I'll be thinking of every time I see this brand at the store. I just wonder what I'll do if this brand of wine is offered to me at a dinner. :-)

Very funny ! is it a peace of you on the grappes ?
1 Jul 2013 12:59pm
Ronnie you need to eat more. Of course after a few drinks you won't care how hard they are.
1 Jul 2013 1:42pm
:)))) It is an ancestral method but I believe that I would prefer to know the grape crushed with the sole of the iron !
1 Jul 2013 1:50pm
Great composition showing the grapes crushed using with feet. Regards
1 Jul 2013 3:55pm
Lol... une façon de faire le vin vraiment très originale :)) Bonne soirée.
1 Jul 2013 4:43pm

Ha ha, very funny. I imagined that you were stronger!. Have a great day !
1 Jul 2013 5:04pm
As it was before. I think it's too much work Ronnie.
I buy it at the grocery store, and I think Lily did it too!
1 Jul 2013 5:29pm
Ummm ... I think I will pass this time ... just gone tea total!!
1 Jul 2013 6:12pm
Wow, that actually works, I can see the wine (?) coming from the tube. But I think it would be better to have a big tub.
1 Jul 2013 7:33pm
@Marilla: We see what we want to see . . . smiles . . (Ronnie)
Now that's fun homework :)
Your own wine bottle with the pressure of your feet
That will taste!
SUPER lovely home wine ....
1 Jul 2013 8:34pm
@Aly: Smiles . . thank you, Aly. (Ronnie)
Very funny, but what is the best year of your wine "barefoot?", Can be found in the wine cellars?
Excellent composition and great idea.
Have a good week.
1 Jul 2013 9:09pm
@gerard1948: His 'best years' are those when no wine was produced, Gerard. ( from Lilly )
This is a riot ... Lily, I think I'll 'drink' with you! ;D
1 Jul 2013 9:43pm
@Judy aka L@dybug: Yes, his 'Appellation' is, however registered . . but with the local police, I'm told. ( from Lilly )
This is too funny! Looks like you are getting a little juice. Just keep it up Ronnie, you'll get there eventually! Seriously, this was a complicated set up. It makes a great picture. A lot of work went into creating this!
1 Jul 2013 9:50pm
@Elaine Hancock: His home must be filled with abandoned projects like this just waiting for the camera call, Elaine . . ( from Lilly )
This is a fantastic capture! I always find your pictures extremely creative and original, and with a very light and friendly personality. The composition is gorgeous, by the way.
1 Jul 2013 10:10pm
hilarious image! :-)))
I guess this barefood wine has a great aroma? :-)))
1 Jul 2013 10:12pm
@curieuzeneuzemosterdpot: That too ! ( from Lilly )
Ah the mini home press for wine . I always thought they used a large barrel or a vat and both feet .
1 Jul 2013 10:22pm
I've tried those wines actually Ronnie... now everything is beginning to make sense...
1 Jul 2013 10:29pm
@Daryl Johnson: lol
This is so cool! I ve watched documentaries on grape pressing but always wonder how they can keep their feet clean enough?*shudder*
2 Jul 2013 3:07am
Oh gee, there's a reason I stay away when I see the word barefoot on any type of bottle ha ha, I guess Ronnie needs a little plumpin' up for the grapes to give...or it may just be that the grapes aren't that ripe ;-))
2 Jul 2013 3:59am
@Luke: "Gross" - oh, you want to order two dozen bottles, Luke ?! (Ronnie)
Is that a new fashion? Oh my, I'd never have imagined...
Believe it or not but when I was child and my my father retired from his administrative job he bought some farming land and planted a vineyard. Too small for having a serious and proper equipment but large enough for the family yearly consumption of wine. To buy a press was out of question so just that was my role... (:-)
Your photo makes me smile both for reminding me of those times and because is far from reality. Actually you don't need a heavy person to do the job... (:-
By the way: the wine was good and really organic, no preservatives added.
2 Jul 2013 1:05pm
@Longroute: Ha ha . . how lovely to read those memories and, yes, I realize I'd get nowhere with an oven tray and a spout ! Thanks, Longroute ! (Ronnie)
Oh for cryin' out loud!!!! But I praise your soleful efforts at creativity. snicker, heh heh.
2 Jul 2013 1:16pm
I will have a cup of coffee to instead it better...:-)
2 Jul 2013 2:39pm
@Lena: Since I went into wine production, the sales of coffee have soared ! (Ronnie)
Don't give up, Ronnie! it looks like the wine is flowing just fine! Fantastic composition and story told here.
2 Jul 2013 3:11pm
@Bettina: Yes, I need to defrost them a little more . . (Ronnie)
Oh yes, it will be a perfect vintage, a profound, mellow and opulent in character with dense yet harmonious herbal character of medium body, smooth yet grippy, reminiscent of a Tahitian sunset, tasting of cooked cherries and vanilla, and with no need for cheese to taste with it.
2 Jul 2013 4:49pm
@CElliottUK: I often get my Tahitian mixed up with my Taliban . . but cheese is always cheese. (Ronnie)
Excellent composition. Very well thought- If you need a distributor for Southern Europe, please let me know.
2 Jul 2013 6:55pm
@Francisco Romero: Supplies are a bit restricted right now but we will keep in mind, sir. (Ronnie)
You've just put me off vinegar for ever Ronnie :-)
Thank heavens sweaty feet walk well away from hops, malt, and barley!
2 Jul 2013 7:19pm
OMG this is hilarious! As much as red is my favourite, I think I might just go for the white ;)
Clever as always you two. I'll just bet that Ronnie has purple feet for quite some time!
2 Jul 2013 7:49pm
Arisanal and a good taste of soil! : -).
funny shot!
2 Jul 2013 8:42pm
@Johnny: Hi, Johny, thank you and welcome to OurTwoSense. Ronnie needs lot more of a 'cure than that ! ( from Lilly )
@Goddess ☼ Ƹl¡: You called ?! (R)
want to bring with you, save me a glass of wine, a great creator ronnie
3 Jul 2013 7:22am
3 Jul 2013 8:02am
@thami: Ah, le règlement ! (Ronnie)
Always fun to visit your site. This post is a good example of why.
3 Jul 2013 8:13am
Do it yourself ! c'est dans l'air du temps ça.. évidemment j'adore !!
3 Jul 2013 8:34am
@marceline: Smiles - thank you ! (L&R)
They no more use this device in the Bordeaux vineyards!!!
3 Jul 2013 5:45pm
@CLODO: Ah, I thought I tasted a slight difference over the years ! (Ronnie)
I was tempted to drink a glass of red wine, but now i'm not sure... :-)
3 Jul 2013 7:58pm
@Evelyne Dubos: I think y'll be ok . . mine is not on the market, yet !! (Ronnie)
An exceedingly clever image!!!!
3 Jul 2013 8:10pm
I must say the idea of barefeet processing my wine is not that appealing, even if they are helped along with Ronnie's iron and left foot.
3 Jul 2013 8:10pm
@kiwisa: I must admit it made me hesitate a second before taking a sip from the glass of Gallo before me right now . . Barefoot is an odd name to give a wine in a way . . although it has got us talking about it and I actually noticed that very brand on the shelves in my local store for the first time this evening. (Ronnie)
Oh-h, I don't know about this one. I think you need to put the grapes in a tub of some sort and then stomp on them.
3 Jul 2013 11:08pm
Well! A great idea to give weight to the wine ... Your head is a great idea factory on the same same! Again I have to thank a good time with you and Lilly! A hug, Adela
4 Jul 2013 8:57am
@yz: [ your link http://yzblog.tumblr.hu/ is not taking me anywhere here, yz . . ahh - you are on .com and not .hu !!]
Super super picture Ron! Thats just hand crafted fresh as anything super delicious grape juice you see! :P I'm guessing they're out of stock by now? :P
7 Jul 2013 9:11am
You're quite brave to bare your feet to the world. Nice idea
7 Jul 2013 4:05pm
How long did it take to fill that beaker, anyway?
9 Jul 2013 3:08am
@Julie L. Brown: I went down with frostbite before I got that far - shoulda defrosted the grapes, apparently . . live and learn. (Ronnie)
Good that you did not try with raisins; that would really take forever. Or at least until the Sun goes out or explodes, or whatever it decides to do with itself after all this billions of years of patient service.
