Lilly : Do you have anything like this over there - kayaking and mountain bike trails ?
Ronnie : Actually, we risk a heart-racing combination of the two in the thrill of a 'Pedalo' experience, Lilly !
Lilly : Oh, my - I imagine there is a risk-awareness course and medics and divers are on standby, yes ?

@Paco Díaz: All aboard !!
Much more relaxed I'd say, Ronnie ..........
The vertical kayak makes a perfect division in this image!
26 Aug 2013 6:42am
@Ellebelle: Ah, yes, I often wear a life jacket when traveling by train - you never know. Have a lovely week, Ellebelle.
@Jean-Luc T.: La façon dont je vois les choses, aussi! Passez une bonne semaine ! (Captain Ronnie)
@Ana Lúcia: Wait for me . . I have my foot caught in the pedal . . (Ronnie)
Plutôt cool le pédalo!!! Superbe composition. Bonne journée.
26 Aug 2013 8:02am
long live "cultural differences" !!! i wonder we don't see any "dos" and "don'ts" in connection with these life-threatening activities here ... ;-)
26 Aug 2013 8:14am
@franz: Oh, I'm sure there was a long listing of those d&d's, Franz ! Have a good week, my friend. (Ronnie)
Stunning, the ballade in the pedalo, I reserve one for this afternoon -. :)) Jean-Luc has solved the problem.
Have a good week.
26 Aug 2013 8:37am
Me too !!! One "pédalo" reserve.
26 Aug 2013 9:13am
@Graciel.la (Vic. Catalonia): I wish I was on a commission, now !! (Pedalo Ronnie)
We have the same in South Shields Ronnie, life jackets are essential in case one upturns the craft and fall in the lake (which is less than three feet deep).
26 Aug 2013 9:53am
@Curly: I know I should not laugh . . but I cannot help it ! (Ronnie)
A fantastic (photography) job, great and cool result.
26 Aug 2013 10:09am
In order to keep things afloat I see you have sunk a lot into this one Ronnie
26 Aug 2013 10:14am
@grouser: A lot of holding the breath here, G'ser ! (Ronnie)
This does not honour the spirit of adventure which the Britons have had all through history... but it does honour your inventiveness! (:-) I had never thought of pedalos in this way! Despite being a combination of the two other sports I find it utterly boring! (:-)
26 Aug 2013 10:31am
@Longroute: I've just checked my spirit of adventure and find it has expired. LR ! (Ronnie)
Some might wonder if the buxom blonde is part of the rental package with a bike or kayak. I suspect that the Pedalo experience might be quite pleasant if it weren't for all of the other boats in the water. The waterfowl seem to be unperturbed, however.
26 Aug 2013 10:47am
@Julie L. Brown: That sounds a very perceptive Comment all round, Julie. The waterfowl there are mainly Coots but I find I get along with them quite well. (Ronnie) No surprise about the coots, Ronnie - figures. ( from Lilly )
I'd join the bandwagon too :-)))))))))))))))))))))))))
No risk, no adventure :)))
26 Aug 2013 10:49am
Oh those pedal boats bring back memories of yesteryear!! Especially when wearing those huge orange life jackets!
26 Aug 2013 12:15pm
@Steven: ha ha . . I took this image last week here, Steven - living history ! (Ronnie)
Excellent dialogue and good presentation ... Already a lynx Ronnie! You made me smile wistfully ... I miss this subtle mood ... friendly and kind! Best regards, Adela
26 Aug 2013 12:15pm
@Adela Fonts: Thank you, Adela - I often imagine you looking at our crazy images and shaking your head in disbelief ! (Ronnie)
Pedalo looks to be like bumper cars on water Ronnie! ;-)
26 Aug 2013 12:21pm
@Eric Cousineau: . . well, the idea is to not hit one of the other boats, really . . . (Ronnie)
Joyful scene, a fun place spend time...:-)
26 Aug 2013 1:59pm
Une belle pêcheresse quelle vue avec les vrai pêcheur sueprbe.
Amitié
26 Aug 2013 2:42pm
@Nicou: Merci, ami ! (L&R)
Ronnie will have a great time no doubt. Good one!
26 Aug 2013 2:44pm
Oh Ronnie, I'm 200% with you... how much more relaxing and romantic and I could take some beautiful pics as I paddled leisurely...
BTW, I recall reading somewhere that it's Leonardo da Vinci who invented pedaloes.:-)
26 Aug 2013 3:13pm
@hugo poon: It was, indeed, dear old Leonardo who floated the idea - someone out there is offering a kit of his original design ! (Ronnie)
Well, we are pioneers on this side of the pond ... no easy pedaling for us! ;D
26 Aug 2013 3:13pm
shall i sit behind you? I can save you if necessary.
26 Aug 2013 4:17pm
@Yvonne Simons (:|:): Knowing Ronnie, he'll want you up front pedaling, believe me, Yvonne. ( from Lilly )
Very nice framing, as if we could see the dream world and the reality in the same place.
26 Aug 2013 4:37pm
@Calusarus: Ah, yes, what a heady mix that would be . . (Ronnie)
@Melocoton: Thank you, Pablo - have a great week. (Ronnie)
It seems a new category of extreme sport, really risky.
26 Aug 2013 5:38pm
Lilly must be uniformed - we do have paddle boating here - but Ronnie do you have anything like TUBING? http://www.njfamily.com/101-Days-of-Summer-in-NJ/June-2013/Lets-Go-Tubing-101-Days-of-Summer-in-New-Jersey/89687665.jpg We do this from up river and get off at our dock. Just grab an old innertube and have fun.
26 Aug 2013 5:39pm
I guess you need a license for this. Awesome that people get so stressed.
26 Aug 2013 6:52pm
I love this one. The composition is very good. Excellent title :)
26 Aug 2013 8:04pm
@Regina G. Santaella: Thank you - have a good week ! ( L&R )
The lady with the huge orange life jacket is certainly into health and safety. If she fell in it would sure be bouyant
26 Aug 2013 8:26pm
@Christine: ha ha . . yes, I'm sure she could stand up in that pond anyway but you cannot be too careful, I suppose. (Ronnie)
no risk, no fun, ..
I keep my life jacket on! :-))
26 Aug 2013 8:30pm
I loved Lilly's response! I guess it could be close to the Indianapolis 500 with all those pedaloers and ducks out there on the water!
26 Aug 2013 8:56pm
Hope you did not forget your lifejacket Ronnie!! ;)
26 Aug 2013 9:23pm
@Bruno F: Life jacket, flotation collar, emergency beacon and tether, Bruno . . but it was the coots that worried me with those sharp beaks ! (Ronnie)
haha, the one the right looks like the perfect combination of biking and kayaking, and the perfect choice for the afternoon!!:)
27 Aug 2013 12:52am
@tyan: A lazy afternoon - if all goes well ! (Ronnie)
Fun shot and nice borderless overlay of the two images.
27 Aug 2013 12:58am
@Harry: Thanx, Hanny. (L&R)
Oh, I like that two-for-one deal! A combination anyone could appreciate, especially on this side of the Atlanic.
27 Aug 2013 2:28am
@Steve Rice: A bargain is a bargain wherever, Steve ! (Ronnie)
...so based on what I can make out in the picture, is it correct that life-jackets must be worn by women only??
27 Aug 2013 7:09am
@Daryl Johnson: In certain parts of London that is the advice given because of strange photographers lurking. (Ronnie Registered)
ah oui effectivement on pédale et on ne rame pas!!!bien vu
27 Aug 2013 7:35am
@L'angevine: Il semble bien s'amuser !
Que de monde et les carnards sont a louer aussi ?
27 Aug 2013 8:54am
@philmess: Well, the Coots are anybody's for a slice of bread ! / Eh bien, les foulques sont quelqu'un c'est pour une tranche de pain ! (Ronnie)
@Kate: Yes, I'm trying to remember if I've ever Pedalo'd ! (Ronnie)
The risk-free life is boring, but it is bad. No need to worry too much.
27 Aug 2013 1:15pm
(Ronnie)
Ronnie watch out for water sprites! :)
27 Aug 2013 5:01pm
@Frankiess: I read someplace they "are mostly harmless unless threatened" . . but they may see a Pedalo as a threat, I suppose . . oh, my . . (Ronnie)
@Marilla: I must say some were being handled recklessly, Marilla . . a bow wave upended a swan while I was there . . (Ronnie)
Beautiful images on both sides. Interesting scenes and lot of fun on your side, Ronnie. Yes, No Risk is No fun. Hope Lilly understands ... Love it. :)
Thank you Ronnie for your visit and kind comments. :)
27 Aug 2013 5:57pm
@Sam: A pleasure, Sam ! (Ronnie)
Ha ha - Ronnie's 'pedalo' experience looks like a genteel and safer Dodgem car experience. Good to see some are being safee and life jackets are being worn.
27 Aug 2013 8:17pm
@kiwisa: Yes, it was good to see some folks taking the advice - particularly with kids. And, Congrats on your Color Spotlight !! (Ronnie)
Sorry Lilly and Ronnie I missed this yesterday as was doing a bit of boat building and sailing, well sinking !!
27 Aug 2013 8:58pm
Looks like the 'Pedalo' experience is a thrill ride for old coots.
28 Aug 2013 12:52am
@B. Thomas: ha ha . . someone had to say it ! (Cootie)
You are a great adventurer for sure, live-jacket required, the pedalo could take-off ! ;) Super duet.
28 Aug 2013 6:38am
@k@: "duet" . . what a sweet word . . (Ronnie)
How peaceful and serene. Make me feel like holidaying!
28 Aug 2013 10:22am
Lovely holiday scene ! Like always I see smart ideea and great result !
28 Aug 2013 3:19pm
Those pedal boats have always seemed like fun to me though I've never been on one. Now Kayaking.. I think I am too timid, a sportsperson I am not :D
29 Aug 2013 2:48am
@Eruaistaniel: Sounds like me . . I suppose I must have been on a pedalo but I cannot actually remember . . (Ronnie)
White water kayaking/rafting is a rush . Picturing white water pedal boating ......... Might catch on with the extreme crowd ......
29 Aug 2013 7:16pm
Thanks for making me laugh! Especially funny since a few days ago my husband and I rented a canoe, and not one of those pedal boats, to explore a lake. :-) Very well done. Especially like the kayak in the middle.
30 Aug 2013 3:11pm
@Anita Bower: Thank you - to be fair, the kayak was part of Lilly's sign but it provided a perfect divide ! (Ronnie)
I vote with Ronnie on this! Even amusement seems to have become risky, of late! Too many of us practice risky outdoor "sports"...like riding ....roller-coasters!
31 Aug 2013 8:30am
il y a bien du monde sur ce plan d'eau... ils risquent d'avoir des accidents...mais je les trouve zen.;;-)
1 Sep 2013 11:57am
haha, i see you have a risky life ronnie... on a pedalo lool
2 Sep 2013 6:50am
Le piment du risque est reservé aux particuliers. Quand on recoit du public, la securité prime, tant pis si ca manque un peu d'adrenaline :)
8 Sep 2013 1:35pm
@Ddo: Tout dans la balance. (Ronnie)
