Lilly : Saw this stuff and wondered if you had any use for it.
Ronnie : Oh, yes, I need more of those panels to build a Grande Palace, Lilly.
Lilly : Really ? And will I get an invite to the Grande Opening ?

You can see a house very similar to that in the blueprint here.

No one will ever be able to know when those are needed. Usually, as soon as they are thrown away.

@Judy aka L@dybug: You are assuming my feet are not webbed, then ? (Ronnie)
@Nicou: Merci, mon ami.

@Eric Cousineau: Yes . . I'm worried about the heating costs, now, Eric . . Palaces can be drafty. (Ronnie)

Recycled materials are in these days Ronnie. Just keep collecting stuff and that Grande Palace can be put together in no time!
27 Mar 2014 4:01pm
@Elaine Hancock: Putting it together might not be difficult but keeping it that way can be a problem . . (R)
Gosh, if I had these when I was a child, I could have had my "grande palace" without a mortgage by now!! :-)
27 Mar 2014 6:21pm
@Steven: Indeed, they have it so much easier today, Steven . . (R)
A fantastic undertaking that will surely keep you busy for some time. In any case, it seems you have a good blueprint to start off. Use good materials and tools.

For some reason the Three little Pigs come to mind when I think about you constructing a Grand Palace. They, too, had big dreams, and we all know what happened. The WInnie the Pooh theme on Lilly's blocks might be helpful if you build your Palace in DIsneyland. Wait, I think they already have one there.
27 Mar 2014 7:21pm
The beginning is there....:-)
One step to a palace :-)
27 Mar 2014 7:30pm
@Marjolein: That is so encouraging . . I am all but there, I think ! (Ronnie)
@omid: Thanks, Omid - so pleased to see your 'Racing with Shadow' in the Spotlight the other day - brilliant. (Ronnie)
Oops... Ronnie...mmmmm have you thought about how many of that stuff you'll need to build your palace ? No ?... If you want to invite Lilly in this life, you'd better change your mind and look for an alternative... ;-)
27 Mar 2014 9:34pm

28 Mar 2014 12:39am

I've always suspected that our perception of geometrical figures is largely distorted and lame. Now I know for sure! Check out the "rectangle" figure thing. The rectangle itself has most likely departed to another dimension, but its parking space that's left behind suggests that it is not at all rectangular... It seems to have a number of strangely-shaped podia!
And to imagine that we even attempt to build houses, not to mention Grande Palaces, with such insufficient pool of knowledge about geometry and math-related stuff.
28 Mar 2014 2:50pm
The beautiful drawings, rulers, etc. in lower right are a startling contrast to the not-so-beautiful building materials.
28 Mar 2014 3:50pm
excellent ce dialogue... courage pour l'assemblage...LOL belle photo du chantier ...
28 Mar 2014 5:18pm
The elevation looks great, how about the plan? Wonderful work!
28 Mar 2014 5:21pm
In the grand scheme of things I believe Lilly has plenty of time to plan her outfit for the big event.
28 Mar 2014 8:13pm
@B. Thomas: You could well be right there, Barbara. (Ronnie)
a grande palace??
so you will be king, ronnie? (until lily arrives??) ;-))
28 Mar 2014 9:16pm
@curieuzeneuzemosterdpot: . . or Arlo . . those panels are not fire-resistant. (Ronnie)
Don't mock, Lilly. From tiny acorns...
28 Mar 2014 11:09pm
@Daryl Johnson: Arlo reckons he started that way - and look where that led ! ( from Lilly )
@Steve Rice: I so hope so, Steve. ( from Lilly )

30 Mar 2014 4:14pm
@Florence: . . and I bet the wine will not be from California, either ! (Ronnie)
Nicely done, as always bright and clear.
30 Mar 2014 4:21pm
No, from Burgundy my dear, Corton Charlemagne will fit, beeing a 'grand cru classé'.
30 Mar 2014 4:24pm
@Florence: I might invest in a new set of wine glasses for that - plastic cups will not be right at all. (Ronnie)
It's going to be very smart. Are those panels Arlo proof... :)
I'll be there for the opening.
31 Mar 2014 7:09am
@Anina Botes: Apparently so according to the box. But he has offered to test the building when complete. (Ronnie)
