Lilly : Each time I bake something simple, I think of how you make things so difficult.
Ronnie : Pears on the hob, Lilly . . how simple can it get ?
Lilly : Certainly, the word 'simple' does come to mind . .

@Devi: ha ha . . we get a pair/pear of Comments for that !
Menu planning going a bit pear shaped, Ronnie!
13 Oct 2014 7:18am
Did you eat the warmed up pear after? I imagine if it's juicy you could be on to something here..
13 Oct 2014 7:35am
@Ainsley: . . it was spoonable, yes . . quite an experience.
I hope they won't cause a kitchen fire ............ In Dutch we have an expression about "fried pears", but that won't make sense in English ;-)
13 Oct 2014 7:40am
@Ellebelle: Well, 'fried pears' sounds rather tasty - it must be a culinary equivalent of 'deep-fried Mars bars' ! (R)
En France "on garde une poire pour la soif" You have to take off one from the hob Ronnie !
13 Oct 2014 7:59am
@Batisse: Les deux sont fusionnés là-bas, maintenant ! (R)
Hahaha très bien fait ! j'aime beaucoup! En Belgique on garde une pomme pour le soif!

@Martine Libouton: Semaine heureux, Martine ! (R)
A great idea for a fantastic dialogue! Ronnie Part of me seems totally surreal ... maybe because I cook at home ... I've put in a good mood ...! Thank you Lilly & Ronnie! Best, Adela

Who knows! Maybe Ronnie deserves one Michelin Star
13 Oct 2014 9:24am
Mmmm ...it`s bakery time
13 Oct 2014 10:28am
Looks like a half baked idea to me Ronnie. From the Arlo school of cookery perhaps?
13 Oct 2014 10:36am
I like the combination of colors, red and green.
13 Oct 2014 12:35pm
Methinks Ronnie has been taking lessons from Arlo. DO you realize how mushy pears get when cooked?
13 Oct 2014 12:58pm
@Ruthiebear: Arlo did offer advice and started to say something about 'controlled explosions' but one occurred before he finished the sentence. (Ronnie)
I think you need to work on your technique Ronnie! ;-))
13 Oct 2014 1:41pm
I always did wonder why pans were needed on a seamless cooktop.
13 Oct 2014 6:00pm
Great "pear-in" of images! I love how the square pizza matches the square stove tops and the roundish pears match the round stove tops. Nice job!
13 Oct 2014 7:24pm
How many times have you attempted this recipe Ronnie?
13 Oct 2014 9:46pm
Could this be one of Arlo's recipes? It looks like there is some smoke near the stove! And for Arlo, where there is smoke, there is fire!
14 Oct 2014 1:07am
@Elaine Hancock: Yes, there is the feeling of an Arlo presence in this somewhere . . (R)
You've done it again... :)))))))))))))))
Love it, Ronnie!!
14 Oct 2014 7:01am

14 Oct 2014 5:57pm
Looks so delicious!! how do you not burn the pears this way?
14 Oct 2014 6:25pm
I had to look up the word "Hob". I am thinking Lilly has the better meal and you will have the bigger mess.
14 Oct 2014 6:58pm
I'll not be eating at Ronnies anytime soon:(
14 Oct 2014 7:48pm
You guys make the Internet a special place :-)
14 Oct 2014 11:10pm

@Denny Jump Photo: Thank you, Denny - always good to have you around ! ( from Lilly and Ronnie )
Ha, ha ... this is the second time in my life that I've encountered a "hob".
I didn't know you were so advanced, Ronnie! ;D
15 Oct 2014 2:17am
@Judy aka L@dybug: That hob is used for photography and not for cooking ! (Ronnie)
I'm not sure if I understand "pears on the hob" ... but I'm sure I love the set of all that rounds here ..
15 Oct 2014 5:20am
@farNaaz50: Be assured there is much we do not understand, either ! (L&R)
Pourquoi faire simple quand on peut faire compliqué...
15 Oct 2014 7:30am
@jpla: Bien dit ! (Ronnie)
Lilly quietly means "simplistic translation". Just a slight tweak of the simple life.
15 Oct 2014 9:31am
@Gemma Wiseman: Ah, it is all beyond me, Gemma. (Ronnie)
I don't think... it's good idea to cook pear...simple just eat fresh...
16 Oct 2014 12:34am
@Lena: Agree with you - I bought those to photograph but they were much better to eat ! (Ronnie)
16 Oct 2014 4:36pm
@shooter: Thank you - neither of us needed to travel far to photograph this one ! (L&R)
Uh oh, that looks like how Arlo might cook!
21 Oct 2014 10:42am
I really love it....circles, squares....circles, squares.....
21 Oct 2014 5:28pm
Turns out my sister roasts peppers on the hob, just like Ronnie's pears, but with gas stove. Well done. I like the similarity and contrast.
24 Oct 2014 2:44pm
@Anita: I feel a lot better, now ! (Ronnie)
