Ronnie : He denies that is his grandfather . . both of them got quite heated over it.
Lilly : Well, that figures . . the old guy disowned him anyway.

@helys: Thankyou. Your own posting today is a winner ! (Ronnie)
What an enchanting story!
Thank you for sharing.

Thank God the arguments did not become volatile and reach the ignition point !!!
The relationship would have literally gone up in flames:))))))))

@Devi: Kinda touching, huh ? . .
But you can't deny the family resemblance.... hopefully things will work out for the better... 'knock on wood!' Nicely done... I enjoy your scenarios!

@Carol: Thank you - they are fun to work on. ( from Lilly )

@oliver stephanus: Ah, yes . . been there, done that ! (Ronnie)
Yes I think Grampa must realize that family is family and just because he has wooden cogs in his joints rather than those new fangled brass screws that Arlo has, He shouldn't take that out on Arlo....after all, as we all know, poor Arlo needs all the help he can get.
From Grampa Denny - 3 Grandsons and 2 Grand Daughters....

I worry when the word heated is used anywhere near Arlo. I must say, grandfather looks like a very pleasant fellow. I am guessing he does not enjoy lighting things up, except with his smile.
3 Oct 2016 4:49pm
@Ruthiebear: That's a nice way of seeing it . . (Ronnie)
@fateme@@: Thankyou.
Probably after hearing about Arlo's many misadventures, Grandpa was too embarrassed to claim him as a descendant. Grandpa definitely looks like an antique. Did you make him?
3 Oct 2016 10:14pm
@Elaine Hancock: He does look like a kindly but world-tested fellow . . raising Arlo would test anyone. Not sure where Lilly found him . . perhaps she will tell. (Ronnie)
A rather wooden smile plastered on Grandpa's face.I wonder whether he considers Arlo a chip off the old block or a splinter to be removed from under his skin.

I'm thinking Gramps kept his real feelings bottled up.

@B. Thomas: I'm sure you are right, Barbara. (Ronnie)
@Alimohammad: Thankyou !
I can talk about my feelings in my language !

My grandfathers died before my birth. I did not have chances to meet them.
Arlo, you may be happy, aren't you ?
4 Oct 2016 11:16am
@Hiro: I'm sure they will get along . . (R)
I'm not sure about the word "heated"? Grandfather looks pleasant, well, who knows? Looks can be deceiving.
4 Oct 2016 3:23pm
Arlo est passé dans une autre phase d'évolution depuis son grand-père ;)
4 Oct 2016 4:14pm
@Mickaël D: Oui, il a un "look" différent!
arlo has still a lot to learn ..
.. before he can be grandpa! ;-))
4 Oct 2016 7:03pm
@curieuzeneuzemosterdpot: Ah, so true . .
There is a resemblance but you can sure see a difference in the styles.
4 Oct 2016 11:21pm
@kiwisa: He does, yes !
This grandfather is not so bad : flat stomach, well dressed, and a nice smile !
In fact, is there any family without any problem or difficulties of comprehension ?
5 Oct 2016 5:11am
@Dany Hèm-Kervran: Sadly, most of us would have a story to tell . . (Ronnie)
@Evelyne Dubos: Yes, he looks a friendly character. ( from Lilly )

@Stephen: . . whoooomph . .
I especially like the grandfather figure.
7 Oct 2016 10:11am

Perhaps a replay of memories that are called the eyes of the doll with a smile.
8 Oct 2016 11:11am
@delaram: Ah, nice words there . . (Ronnie)
Family problems for Arlo? His grandfather can't disown him, they look so alike! Funny scenario!
8 Oct 2016 7:15pm
I really don't see any family resemblance. I guess the old guy didn't either. The side of his left hand looks a little scorched though . . .
8 Oct 2016 10:10pm
@Steve Rice: Ah, yes, more to family resemblance than we might think ! Happy Sunday, Steve. (Ronnie)
Sigh... That's the way of the world, the old folks get left on the shelf
