Lilly : Do you often get to see the 'Big Ben' clock tower, Ronnie ?
Ronnie : Hidden under restoration scaffolding right now - but I got it on a bottle of sauce I carry.
:
Lilly : Do you show tourists that bottle ? . . not quite the same experience, is it ? . .

Scaffolding or no scaffolding...The Bid Ben still rings in my ears...as for that sauce Bottle...you must be viewing it at every breakfast hour...
Remembering with nostalgia our visit there in 2002 September !!!

HP sauce is sold in Finland as long as I remember. I've never tasted it. It looks like Big Ben was covered with scaffolding.
4 Dec 2017 7:01am
@Jypyä Pop: Yes, the tower is cloaked in scaffolding for a rare refurbishment.
Magnifique présentation de la sauce avec big ben .
Une belle publicité. )

@Gérard: Ah, now there's an idea ! (Ronnie)
A great idea to show the ketchup bottle including the Big Ben picture to tourists.
And if you're tired, you're going to eat sausages along with the ketchup.

Big Ben will look great after the reburbishing! It's funny to have it on the sauce bottle! Excellent presentation, Ronnie!
4 Dec 2017 9:26am
@Mireille T.: Thank you.
Hahaha j'adore ton humour !!! Très belle comparaison !!
4 Dec 2017 9:52am
In the interests of veracity I must point out you can't see Big Ben from the outside, scaffolding or not. It's a bell :0

@grouser: Ah, yes, I do know that - thus the "-" in the dialogue. (Ronnie)
House of Parliament Sauce - we seem to be getting lots of that at present :-(
4 Dec 2017 11:15am
@Brockaly: True !!
It would be nice to see Big Ben eventually. I, too, got my first "look" on an HP bottle in Canada in September. Never seen that sauce before.
4 Dec 2017 12:48pm
AH the joy of being able to see Big Ben in the comfort of my own home. Couch travel does sound nice.
4 Dec 2017 2:02pm
A very funny exchange betweern the two. Ronnie certainly have different ideas.
4 Dec 2017 4:18pm
Not the same experience, certainly, but very close. Ha ha, this is so clever!
4 Dec 2017 6:12pm
HP sauce to go with the meal of your previous photo?
You will have to put a lot ....
4 Dec 2017 7:07pm
@Jean-Luc.M: Yes, nice thought ! (R)
A good idea and a good composition ... It's good to smile and you get it whenever you do!
Best regards!

Ketchup?? HP is HP, surely Ronnie...
4 Dec 2017 9:56pm
@Daryl Johnson: True . . a slip of the pen, I think ! (Ronnie)
Perhaps a few splashes of Trappey's Louisianna Hot Sauce will throw some sizzle into that ;-)
5 Dec 2017 3:49am
@Denny Jump: No doubt about it ! (R)

Parfait ,j'adore.

Tourists can only see the Queen on souvenirs, so why not Big Ben on a bottle of sauce? Have a good day.

@Jean-Louis Guianvarc'h: Ah, that's good thinking ! (Ronnie)
I just had to chime in on this timely subject. I remember seeing and hearing "Big Ben" on several trips to London years ago. It's sad that it will be silenced but Lilly's Happy Hour will certainly help. A few Imperial Pints should do the trick!
5 Dec 2017 5:07pm
I love to see inside of Big Ben but I'm not sure you can help me in that bottle ?!
5 Dec 2017 6:44pm
I think the sauce is a nice touch Ronnie!
6 Dec 2017 12:41am
@Elaine Hancock: I aim to please . . (Ronnie)
Lily's menu is priced in dollars, so it appears some Yank has appropriated the British landmark. Nice of you to play along, Ronnie, and not call her to task.
6 Dec 2017 3:02am
@Harry: Yes, I'm not sure of the origin of Lilly's object but it does seem odd. (Ronnie)
What a clever presentation of these old precious pictures. And very interesting conversation Lilly and Ronnie.
We enjoyed your response to the above comments as always. Thank you. :)

@Sam: Thank you, Sam - hope your week is going well. ( L&R )
@Marjolein: Thankyou - laughing is good for us all ! (Ronnie)
You are an original tour guide, Ronnie, the kind I like to follow.
6 Dec 2017 10:18am
@Lewis: You have suddenly reminded me that I once went on a 'mystery tour' where the guide got lost ! (Ronnie)
@Nazzareno: Thank you !
@Kyu: Thank you, Kyu - hope your week is going well. ( from Lilly )
I would love to see "Big Ben" in person, not on a bottle.
8 Dec 2017 12:44am
@Irene: Thank you, Irene - yes, it sure does have a pull. ‘Big Ben’ is, actually, the Great Bell inside that strikes the hours but the name is widely used for the Clock Tower itself - now, officially called ‘The Elizabeth Tower’. (Ronnie)
One wonders Ronnie ....
HP in your pocket ...
A dash of culture I suppose ....
