The world is filled with incredible visions. A living statue can be a shock to a small person.

@Jypyä Pop: Yes, I often see mixed reaction there . . have a good week, JP. (Ronnie)
We are certainly living in Cuckoo Land at the moment. Two fine takes.
21 May 2018 7:37am
Superb composition .
21 May 2018 7:59am
I think it is important to have a supple mind like a child.
21 May 2018 9:28am
I tried a reality check but all I got was 'this site unavailable'
21 May 2018 9:46am
@grouser: You were lucky - I got a minus score. (Ronnie)
The world is accelerating toward virtualization ...! ;)
21 May 2018 10:02am
Maybe we are walking towards eternal childhood.
21 May 2018 10:06am
@Graciel·la (Vic. Catalonia): Ronnie would vote for that. ( from Lilly )
This child seems to be quite mesmerized by the "living" statue. Cute capture!
21 May 2018 11:50am
Many days I feel like I am living in fantasyland, so I guess it is a small world after all.
21 May 2018 12:09pm
I think a world of make believe would sometimes be a lot better than the real world that we live in these days.
21 May 2018 12:23pm
@Elaine Hancock: Sadly true, Elaine.
I suppose we are living in a constant world of make-believe on our planet!
21 May 2018 12:42pm
I completly aggree with Elaine, but ... but it may be not the right thing to do. Annierita
21 May 2018 1:15pm
@Annierita & Annisabelle: So many choices . .
We need a little make-believe in order to face reality. Marilyn Monroe said, "It's all make believe, isn't it?"
21 May 2018 1:42pm
@B. Thomas: I think Marilyn was right . . (Ronnie)
The statue looks scary to me.
21 May 2018 2:29pm
Ronnie apparantly lives is never never land! Very funny to admit it.
21 May 2018 3:59pm
21 May 2018 4:17pm
@Mickaël D: Très vra . .
If it were possible to live in a fantasy world, I would be happy. A few years ago you could walk through Las Ramblas in Barcelona. Every three meters a human statue similar to his accompanied us. I like fantasy! The world of childhood is the best for me ... although I am already a grandmother... !!!
21 May 2018 4:39pm
@Adela Fonts: I share those feelings ! (Ronnie)
21 May 2018 4:46pm
@Martine Libouton: Je vous remercie
21 May 2018 5:28pm

21 May 2018 5:45pm
wouah an golden women!
21 May 2018 5:46pm
Here's to happily ever after...
21 May 2018 8:35pm
I think the fantasy characters in Lilly's make-believe world will beat you up if you take their picture without paying them. Hopefully, the London characters are more peaceful.
21 May 2018 9:05pm
2B or Not 2B! ;-)
21 May 2018 11:35pm
Mmmmm, one ponders .... so what IS reality if we don't have make-believe?
22 May 2018 3:30am
@: Helen :: Ah, a good question ! (Ronnie)
Maya. We are so far from reality, which is the problem, but all is shifting, which is why there is so much scary conflict on our living "spaceship". I enjoyed reading all the comments from so many photogs I have come to know here, Ronnie. Your replies are always entertaining. We are all so unique in our views and yet One. What fun it would be to have an AM3 world conference. Paid for by some great rich enterprise of course.
22 May 2018 11:24am
@Joyce: Yes. I guess, in many ways, the posted images and the Comments are a conference of sorts . . (Ronnie)
Case in point, The White House. Some types of fantasy are less enjoyable than others, and this is why so many of us around the world love to indulge in the pure kind of fantasy. An excellent post that has elicited some wonderful comments from the "real world".
22 May 2018 12:51pm
@Rick: Indeed, the Comments often form more than the sum of the parts here ! (Ronnie)
I really love the image on the right. Excellent photo and moment, but maybe PoV as a child was my choice!
23 May 2018 1:45am
@fateme@@: Ah, yes, I see what you mean - I will try that next time I am there ! (Ronnie)
micro-people love street performers!
23 May 2018 3:15am

If only hope stays because life is not automatically full of love / joy :-)
23 May 2018 6:44am
@Marjolein: . . so true . .

The world is being Disneyfied
23 May 2018 12:38pm
@Lewis: Yes, difficult to believe that Walt died over 50 years ago . . (1966)

23 May 2018 5:04pm
@Kiki: Yes, to [mis]quote Dr. Spock, "It's Life, Jim . . but not as we know it". (R)
Sometimes I wish the world was make believe.
23 May 2018 10:33pm
@Michael Rawluk: Yes, I know the feeling. (R)
Get Arlo a pair of black ears and a gold outfit and let him stand perfectly still in Covet Garden; perhaps he will make enough tips to afford the matches for his next adventure.
24 May 2018 3:48am
@Harry: Ah, yes . . I'm sure he'd earn a fortune by going as he is ! (Ronnie)
24 May 2018 8:53am

24 May 2018 10:21am

24 May 2018 2:14pm
@Chetan: True and true !
I really like the photo of the child and the golden statue! Fantastic presentation of the make-believe" theme!
24 May 2018 9:48pm
@Mireille T.: Thankyou.
25 May 2018 7:18am
Your photos and the comments have made me wonder where the line is between make believe and reality. I think there is no line--it is a continuum, a gradual blending of one into the other. Photography is a good example of this.
25 May 2018 10:26am
@Anita: Agree with all that, Anita . . but, of course, everyone has a different - and valid - reality ! (Ronnie)
25 May 2018 12:19pm
@helys: Yes, 'moments' - they are out there if we look! (from Lilly)
Wonderful images with a nice title.
25 May 2018 3:04pm
Is it because of the eternal presence of powerful "make believe" that people can try to discover what's meaningful and trustable , may be ;)
25 May 2018 5:04pm
26 May 2018 6:17am
26 May 2018 10:26am
You can choose what you want to see, so life may seem easier.
